Need help choosing a new serum

I’m trying to decide on a new serum to buy and decided it was best to ask beauties who had tried them. I’m tossing up between

Trilogy Very Gentle Calming Fluid – Sensitive Skin
md formulations Continuous Renewal Serum Sensitive Skin
Murad Sensitive Skin Soothing Serum
Medik8 Red Alert Serum
Dermalogica Ultracalming serum concentrate

I’m 19 and I’m trying to help my very dry sensitive skin. If you’ve tried any of these, how were your experiences?

    I love A’kin’s Cellular Radiance serum 🙂

I am with you green finch. A’Kin Cellular Radiance Serum is my holly grail 🙂 I have dry and sensitive skin but when I use it it brightens up my complexion, evens out the skin tone and hydrate my skin.

I am on my second bottle now and I am sure I will be buying it over and over again 🙂

I have been HUGELY won over by the Estee Lauder Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator, it is an absolute dream and pleasure to apply! I saw a fabulous difference to my complexion within a week of using this new prod, clearer, brighter, more healthy looking skin!! I would shout my love for this serum from the rooftops, given the chance, lol 🙂

Same!!! I’m only just 20 but started using this not really expecting a lot but omg it is so good! It smells great like citrus and is easy to apply, you only need the tiniest bit and I have seen brillant results to my skin. Clearer, brighter looking skin like Spunx said! Within a week my skin was looking so good I didn’t put makeup on one morning and by the time i went to go out i forgot i hadn’t because it looked so good! Highly reccommend this, and i’m not normally a big fan of expensive products!

Thanks Spunkx and Stefaneigh. Your enthusiasm over this product makes me want to try it! I will check out some of the reviews =)

Has anyone tried the Ultraceuticals Ultra C Firming Serum (Normal/Dry)? There are no reviews as yet.

Im currently using the remainder of a Ultraceuticals kit I bought with Even skin tone serum, and the Vit A sheer, and Vit C sheer creams – everything is ok, but its just not really showing the effects I thought it would, hardly any actually…..but im going to use it till the end regardsless, and almost there!!!
The Ultra C serum may be different, but guess, seeing I have seen no results with the above, I probably would try other serums first….but thats just me!

Thanks Princess Fiona – that was helpful 🙂 I am a bit hesitant to buy it without first trying it out so maybe I’ll ask for a small sample and see how I go. Do you know of any other serums which you can recommend?

Im really loving EL Advanced Night Repair and Even Skin tone Illuminator, and find them both very effective. I havent tried any other new ones recently other than them..

I have tried the Advanced Night Repair – that was pretty good but haven’t tried the Even Skintone Illuminator. I will check out some of the reviews and see if I can get a sample Thanks for your help.

If you already love Genifique, I’d stick with that. I think the Lancome serums are great, and my favourite is Visionnaire, but I don’t think you need that just yet! I’m also a big fan of Elizabeth Arden’s Prevage, but why change if you’re already onto a good thing.

I’ve used EL Advanced Night Repair before, and I think I must be the only person who doesn’t love it! It just did nothing for me.

Hmm, perhaps you are right Chicklet but I figured why not try another serum which might perform even better. I have used Lancome for about 12 months now and thinking perhaps it was just time to change it up since my skin appears to have gotten used to it. And because I just wanted another excuse to try a new product! =)

    Totally understand! 😉
