Mineral Makeup

I’m hearing so much about mineral makeup and it’s becoming more and more popular. I’ve heard it’s really good for your skin allowing it to breath and doesn’t clog your pores. I’ve tried the L’Oreal Bare Naturale Mineral Powder. Does anyone have any other products that they would recommend.

The mirenesse one I purchased is a bit strange. It applies with this powder puff which is attached to the container and I can`t really tell if it`s applying evenly. I took the top off and tried to apply it with a brush but the opening of the container is small and it gets messy. It`s really weird.

I have just purchased some Bare Escentuals from eBay and I must say I am impressed. Much better results than what I had had with Sheer Cover which made me look pastey. I`ll be curious to see how it wears as the weather warms up. Might even go for some blush or eyeshadow soon – how do they go with coverage for those who`ve used the BE line?

Personally I hate mineral make-up, but the best ones are best Bare Escentuals and Jane Iredale… more and more places are stocking Jane Iredale. What do I hate about them? They are great if you are 25 and have perfect skin already, but on me all they do is amplify and exagerate any problems, got a zit – it looks 10 times more noticeable, smile and laugh during the day and you have creases anywhere you had an expression… now remember, I`m an oldie, almost 36, but I get told at least 100 times a week I look between 25-28, my beauty therapists says I have fantastic skin and no wrinkles, I get hit on by boys 18-22 all the time and when I help out at school I have to fend off all the grade 6 boys (they all try to get my mobile number and my myspace out of my daughter!) – my hubby thinks this is hilarious by the way! lol when I see someone wearing mineral make-up they look 10 years older than they really are…

Bare Escentuals is really good, and seemed a bit more long-lasting than the Loreal one.
Mineral makeup provides a lot of coverage for me. It`s about the same as most of the other liquid and creme foundations I`ve used, though it does seem to need more touching up. That could just be because I have oily skin.

I also recommend Bare Escentuals, which is available from Myer – I love this stuff. You can control the coverage it gives very easily, so you can either go for a really sheer look or cover up any flaws completely. I think it`s important to get some good brushes for application as well, so make sure you stock up on these!

I`m really interested in trying it out too. My concern is the coverage it provides – I need a decent amount of coverage as I do have some acne scarring/pigmentation. At the same time my skin is quite sensitive so mineral make up would probably be better for it than a liquid foundation. Has anyone tried the Mirenesse one? They`re doing a promo where you just pay for shipping and get a full sized sample of their mineral foundation. Might give it a go.

I have never used mineral makeup :O i dont know what products are good and were to find them. Ive always seen the Physicians formula but i would really love to try some other mineral makeup. I reckon it would be great for my skin. but do they really provide the same coverage etc as other makeup thats been around for ages?

Hi, is Bare Escentuals carried in department stores or is it an online buy only? Sounds very interesting. I haven`t tried any of the mineral options yet because I haven`t wanted to make my colour choices online. I would be very interested if I could feel, touch, try before launching into an online order.
