Medicare Card?

What age do you have to be to get one and what is it exactly?
What I mean is do you just have to show it like do you just have to have one or do you have to pay for it?
That doesn’t make sense.
Um what I mean is I want to go to the doctors but I can’t without a medicare card and was wondering if you have the card do you still pay for the appointment?

You can quote your parents card number on a special form they have in the clinic and then they check either online or by phone on whether you are a medicare member or not.

You will need to produce ID.

This is not just for young people, it is also for people who are waiting for their card to be issued or have recently requested a replacement card if theirs has been lost/stolen.

I just wanted one so I can go to the doctors by myself and I don`t need my parents card.

also if you are on your parents card- you can actually order a family copy so that you have a copy too- for your wallet so on so on. You can do this online or through a medicare office- this means you are still on your parents card but you have two copies.
This is also available for husbands and wives and so on..
