Make-up confessions

I thought I might start a thread about make-up confessions.

For me my confession is that I always play safe when it comes to make-up. I never step outside the box.
I rarely wear eyeshadow. If anything I wear vaseline on my lids.
My blush is neutral and mainly peach.
My lip colour is always a light pink shade and nothing overly gooey.

I never try new colours, I never try bold or sexy make-up looks. My make-up look is safe and boring.
I always see pictures of looks I want to try but never get enough confidence to try.

Now your turn =)

I have sleep with my make-up on at least twice a month and I never get a break-out from it hehe

I use 3 different products on and under my eyes to rid them of the dark circles. I also spot conceal all over my skin – after my liquid/cream foundation but before the mineral powder – to make my skin look really even and flawless. I don’t like my freckles. And I would probably wear makeup 99% of the time, even if I’m just at home for the day. I love the whole routine of preparing my face with the skincare and then each step of my makeup application.

Another confession is that I have absolutely no idea how to construct a “daytime” look… so I just put on some primer, mineral foundation, eyeliner, and mascara. I have no idea if that’s too much or not. 😛

    COnfession –

1 – I never ever wash brushes or sponges =O

2 – Can’t apply black eyeliner – all the rest are fine, I just can’t do black.

3 – I don’t go out without at least mascara and lip gloss.

4 – I can’t blend well – but it doesn’t really matter as my powder is the exact same shade as my skin.

Another confession, I’m still bad at applying eyeliner on the top of my eyes. I can’t seem to get the line straight. Some days I pull it off but I find it very difficul each time.

Yep I’m Asian. I never actually realised that I had uneven skin tone until I used foundation lol, coz only then could I see the difference in skin tone.

that actually sounds the same as me.
I barely even more much makeup till i came to australis anyway.
I wore more eye liner and mascara as a teen when i was trying to be tough and grown up , at age 15-17.
then when i moved it was just my liner, bit of shading and stuff.. and i still do that but id added in more steps and also droppe;d them away at diff times in the yrs here.

So i think its some giant lesson to be a master of how to get an even skin tone now, and i leave it simple. learning to use foundation more is waht made me see how much my face varies with tone.

Whenever i play with smokey eyes at home it always turns fab but then for a special occasion i do it all wrong ): probably too much pressure. haha
i cant be stuff wearing mascara! its such a pain taking it off and then realising the next morning you haven’t gotten it all off and are left with horrible panda eyes ):<

Lol, I’m the same with the eye shadow thing – there’s too little space to work with :(.To top it off, my eyes are hooded and I find it extremely hard to even use eyeliner. The only thing I do on a regular basis is curl my lashes, and more recently I’ve started mascara. My skintone is uneven too, my forehead and chin ares are about 2 shades darker than my cheeks, so when I look for shades on my jawline it is too dark for my cheeks and I have to make sure that I blend properly…..

are you asian also stensen/ i didnt know lolz..
yea im lazy with the blending part, wwhy i said that i dont use the primers and stuff.. but i have the diff shades on my face too. its something I just never relaly fix up. and i have combo skin also, with oily T area.
