I have seen Johnson & Johnson baby wash does not rash but still I don`t prefer these products. You are right DanniiBeauty, in hospital Johnson & Johnson provides free baby products. But doctor does not prefer Johnson & Johnson .

I heard many times that Johnson`s baby has some ingredient that is not suitable for children`s skin, but it`s really good for women, so I didn`t find any dangerous ingredient and think that there are no reasons to be afraid. But if your child has a skin reaction you shouldn`t use it of course.

I agree. Newborns don`t need shampoo or body wash. Plain water is best for their delicate skin. Baby`s only need a tiny bit of body wash/shampoo when they start eating solids and get mucky mucky mucky.
Ok I don`t have a baby but I`m curious. Johnsons is crap because the baby shampoo makes even my scalp go crazy lol. What I was wondering is, babies don`t really get that dirty, exept for their bottoms which are cleaned at nappy changes. They don`t have BO as that hits during puberty. So couldn`t you get away without using soaps and body washes on babies? Wouldn`t their skin then almost look after itself perhaps even removing the need for moisturisers in most babies? Why do they even need shampoo? It`s probably the number one cause of cradle cap. Am I missing something or do people just use these products on babies because it`s the done thing? If no one can answer I`ll come back when I`ve trialled the no product theory on my future kids lol.

I believe it does leave a rash! My young bub has been covered in little red dry spots. I was really concerned and my doctor said that it looks like a reaction from a product… So i`m no longer using johnsons. I`ve switched to QV body wash and the lotion, with awesome results. I never had problems before with johnsons, so i guess my baby is a little more sensitive then my first son. To be on the safe side i`ve also switched my laundry powder.

I only used water to wash my baby until he was 3 months old and then only pure gentle organic ranges like Gaia, Ecostore, Little Pumpkin and Urban Rituelle. I would never use Johnson`s – the products have parabens, artificial fragrance and colouring. Too harsh for delicate new skin.

I can`t believe that Johnsons still use parabens in their baby lotion. It`s disgraceful! The baby soap is also very harsh. When I use it on my `intimate` areas is burns, so I can only imagine what it would do to a bub! I certainly wouldn`t use their products on a baby, and am glad to hear that so many of you feel the same way.
I whole heartedly agree with you Cat lover. Also it`s very disgusting to think that the hospitals actually glorify it and promote it as a good thing-it`s often one of the first baby skincare product lines a new Mum is introduced to.

I used J&J shampoo when my bubs was first born and then she started to get really bad cradle cap so I stopped using it and switched to Gaia shampoo and the cradle cap went after a few uses. So now I have stuck to that.
I have been using J&J baby wash but have started to notice my bubs skin going a bit dry. I got some samples of Mustela baby products and they seem great so I might switch to them.

I have to agree with how bad the johnson`s products are, both my kids skin flared up something terrible when I used their products.. Since switching to natural and organic brands their skin is amazing, like it should be!
