Congratulations on getting the job Youarebeautiful.

I don`t know anything about Cotton On`s policies, but I hope you really enjoy your job and I know you`ll do well!!!

I was reading in the Daily Telegraph that if a store forces you to wear their clothes or jewellery, by law, they have to also cover the cost of it? One lady got her money back for the last 5 years or something because she was forced to buy heaps of jewellery from Diva or Lovisa or something.

    BUMP 🙂

So a few hours ago I received a call from my interviewer and she said I got the position at Cotton On for the Christmas Casual period! I am so thrilled at the moment and was wondering if any of you beauties who are currently working at a Cotton On company know what the uniform policy is? Apparently you have to purchase and wear their clothes. And you have to buy the new styles out every two weeks? Is this true or will it vary from store to store? I`m quite worried as not only will I have to pay for other nesscesities but also for new clothes every 2 weeks!

Congrats! I was in the exact same position as you last year 🙂 I worked there over the summer and they like you to wear Cotton On clothing, but you get a discount so its pretty good. It depends on your manager really as to what `styles` to wear, but I think its a good idea to wear their on trend items that are in store at that time because a lot of people will come up and say `I love your top, can you find me a size 10?`.

Let me know if you have any other questions 🙂 feel free to email me if you like, my email is listed on my blog.

Hi Youarebeautiful! If in fact you do have to buy their current clothing on a certain time basis (which I believe you do, but I`m not 100% certain), you will be given a significant discount and quite possibly a clothing allowance to help cover the costs. My recommendation would be to contact the lady who interviewed you and confirm this, you can just say you were so excited that it slipped your mind. If she mentioned that you will be having induction then you will most likely be given all of this information when you attend that.
