jet set make up

does any one have any tips on the best way to travel in regards to make up ?
air in planes is always really drying to my skin.
im thinking about not wearing any make up and only applying once we have landed / unless there is a better option ? 😀 what do you normally wear in the ways of make up when you travel ?

I think you can take the powder formula, you don`t need to mix it with water, as long as you tell the security people it`s milk and you`re not giving the impression that you`re trying to hide it. So if you`re being very obvious about it I reckon you should be alright.

Perhaps consumable amount depends on how much your baby can drink?

Having just looked at your last post EMJ23QLD, I wouldn`t take just formular powder as it is a “”white powder””. I would take the water and formular separate in case they want you to mix it. I think I mixed (made up) my bottles so I wouldn`t have white powder issues at securtiy at least if you had the water and the powder you could mix it if that is what they want.

I remember looking up the Qantas website to get my info. You could use this as a guide because they all pretty much use the same security at the airport. A travel agent should also be able to help.

well im really confused now , music . i rang the Tiger air and unfortunatly it was the call center . from what i gathered i am allowed to bring “a consumable amount“ of baby food “ i did ask if i could bring 240 mil bottles and she said as long as its a consumable amount :/ i also said how about pre measured powder formula ., and she said .. what formula ma`am? lol so i dunno .. might just take my chances .. like you said , i should be able to get water from the stewardess 😀 which i actually hadnt thought about . thanks you 😀

I agree with music – if it`s a short flight I don`t really worry – I wear make up as normal – perhaps putting a heavier moisturiser on underneath my makeup. For long flights, I always put on my night cream (as it`s heavier) and then just a tinted moisturiser. I don`t bother with anything else as I only really care about being comfortable on the flight, not what I look like! I don`t even bother taking makeup on the flight with me, other than tinted moisutriser to give myself a little colour (so I don`t look like a corpse!). On the flight I keep with me, face moisturiser, tinted moisturiser, hand moisturiser, pawpaw, deodorant roll on and facial spray. It`s all I need to keep me comfortable! I think next time though I will also take baby wipes to freshen myself up.

No offense, that`s a wrong advice you`re giving, Beauty babe1!

There IS liquid restrictions on BOTH international AND domestic flights. I travel quite a bit, so I know for sure that the limit is a litre size transparent plastic bag/person, and each stuffs inside the bag should be LESS than 100ml. As far as I know they haven`t changed the rule up to 1 mth ago when hubby flew domestic, it`s still as strict as before.

Emj23qld, don`t bother taking boiled water, just ask the stewardess for some hot water, they do have them on the flight.

i better ring then .. cause were going from qld to melb .. his only 5 months old .. so he drinks more then 100ml . but i should only need one or two bottles . thanks ladies 😀

There is a limit on domestic flights we went to FNQ recently and weren`t allowed to take anymore that 100ml`s on board unless we had a small baby.

You can bring as much baby stuff as you like – but you will have to be prepared to try it. I`m pretty sure that there is no liquid restrictions on domestic flights though. But yes, I would double check with airline.

I used to fly with boiled water for my baby, but check with your airline just to make absolute sure as they change the rules all the time.
