IZ UV Silk Shield SPF30+
Has anyone tried the Invisible Zinc UVSilk Shield SPF 30+? The one that looks like stick foundation? It’s been around awhile but I haven’t seen any reviews about it (or maybe I’m not looking hard enough). I’m interested to know about the coverage and how long it lasts without slipping and sliding on oily skin. Thanks 🙂

Someone gave some feedback on it in the makeup section recently, try the search tab and see if it comes up that way 🙂
Found it, thanks. I never tried the search tab for forum topics before, I thought it was just for reveiws heehee. I usually click on each topic until I backtracked a year (slooooow) and I end up reading other interesting topics that I wasn’t actually searching for.
Anyway, I love ESP, but I hate their Tinted Daywear. With UV Silk Shield, it’s bad enough that they only have 3 shades, but to make it worse, I can’t find a stockist that has testers for ALL three, which makes it more difficult to decide which shade is better. I’m glad it has a good review for oily skin, because I’m getting tired of layering sunblock and foundation.
Oh please keep me posted on how you get on if you do get to try it. I have been wanting to try it since it first came out but still have a couple of tubes of daywear to get though. I only like the daywear because it stays so matte on my oily skin, hehe, oh and because of the zinc of course 🙂 This really appeals to me but I can’t justify buying it online when I will have to take a risk at picking the best colour option, that is the biggest downfall. They have them here at Priceline and the last time I looked there were no testers at all (WTH??) so how do you know what shade to get, agrhhh 🙁
Yes the search function is fairly new the old set up was pathetic, I have been caught like you looking through page after page after page for a topic that I know is on the forum, and easily getting sidetracked, hha, but having to go through about 15 pages or more to find it, lol. The new system is so much better 🙂No problem 🙂 If I find a shade that suits me I will definitely let everyone know if it’s a good buy.
I managed to find a tester today of the dark one and just swatched it on my arm, definitely going to be too dark for me that one, but I was super impressed with how lightweight and non sticky it felt. I really thought it was going to be like thick and creamy but it has more of a powder like finish. I am a bit tempted, which they had samples though, I would love to try it on my whole face, its not cheap and don’t really want to buy something I wont use that much, lol, but then again it is a zinc sunscreen so it will probably not go to waste here, can always wear it going to the beach etc if I don’t like it as a foundation. Now just need to get some cash, haha damn this spending ban, lol.
Yes, it is a bit expensive. The only way I can justify buying it is if I find an exact shade. That way, I can say I’m saving by using one product instead of a separate sunblock and foundation, and save time on application. But if it’s too light or dark and I’d have to correct the shade with another product, then forget about it, it won’t be worth it. So far I’ve only swatched the light/highlighter which is way too light for me. I’m still looking around for the other shades. I did love the texture too, which got me all excited! Oh, I wish I have a match with one of the other two shades 🙁
Hk_Candy, I don’t have dry skin but I can imagine it might work for you if you primed your skin with moisturiser first before applying Silk Shield 🙂
