Itchy Head

My son is 4.5 years old and has just started Prep. He has been complaining of an itching scalp and scratches like mad.

I thought he had lice, so I give him a treatment, combed for what seemed like an hour and did not find one single lice or egg.

Does anyone have a treatment they would recommend. I would prefer not to use anti dandruff shampoo as he is still very young and it may irritate his skin or eyes.

    Thanks, did take him to the chemist and they recommended I use a soap free shampoo/wash like QV.

    Being so young and if you are not sure what you are looking for I would take him to the chemist atleast and they will probably be able to pinpoint the problem for you straight away. Then atleast the little boy will be out of discomfort quickly.

    Thanks, I will speak to my chemist. My little one does get his hair washed every day, maybe it`s too much and irritates the scalp. Cheers

    Sweating makes your head itchy too and I`m not sure if you can do anything about that except to wash your hair everyday.
