Is it ok to alternate between different products?

Hi Guys I have this huge craze over Body lotions and shower gels…as a result I will be using around 4/5 products at the same time. For example with body lotions/oils ….I have Bio oil, palmers cocoa butter oil, palmers cocoa butter -tummy butter, Garnier 7 day thing, and another one called Avaya- from the dead sea cosmetics…..with body wash its Radox shower milk for sensitive skin, palmolive aromatherapy and a dead sea minerals body scrub…… so i basically use a different thing each day….is this bad for my skin? will my skin get confused ? Is there anyone else who does the same things…..please share your thoughts…i am just worried that the ingredients might interact to affect my skin adversely…

    I don’t think so.
I like switching my products up so my skin doesn’t become “immune” to a product if you know what I mean.

Same as the others, I have a strict facial skin care regime but chop and change using what I like on my body 🙂

I do the exact same thing. Whenever I feel like nivea, i’ll use it. Cocoa butter, ill use it. It all depends.

LoLs I have a different shower gel for every mood I’m in or want to be in! I even have one that seems to really make me feel refreshed if I’m a bit nauseous or migrainy.

I don’t think it’s that bad to using a few body washes/lotions/gels etc, but I know for the face, you should stick to a skincare regime of the same products, otherwise you may not get the result you were hoping to achieve.
I’ve used a heap of different skincare products at the one time (a have an obsession with trying new and improved products) and I noticed no change or improvement in my skin. Now I’m using a top brand called Ultraceuticals and nothing else. Now I’ve noticed results 🙂

Thanks a lot for all the advice guys,….very insightful..the prob is i also use two facial cleansers (neutrogena and nivea) and two face creams (neutrogena and body shop) at the same time …after seeing Nyxen’s comment above im going to to just stick to one of them…the thing is im a beauty care junky….when ever i see a new cleanser/bodywash/lotion i buy it even if im using something else at the moment….then when i get home i open it and then cos i have 2/3/4 open at the same time i just use whatever i get my hands on..some of them are in the bathroom cabinet, some in the bedroom near the dresser , aome in my car and some in my handbag…..im just going to streamline all the face stuff atleast …

I agree that you should not chop and change skin care (Nyxen’s comments are spot on) but body products are not such an issue unless you have a reaction to anything.

I am a shower gel/soap devotee and have lots of different ones on the go at the same time as well as body lotions. Which is the one you use gemo for when you feel migrainy as I get that way quite often?

you should change use products every few months anyway because your skin gets used to them

I agree with that. I like to use different products depending on my mood and what I feel like using that day. I have all sorts of different foundations and eyeshadows. I currently have 1 shower gel and one soap but I’ve got about 4 cleansers in the shower, all different textures and types.
