I won Dermal Therapy Very Dry skin lotion and the Platinum Foot balm in the survey and it is wonderful for my dry skin . You may need to put the gloves and socks on as well during the night as suggested .

Have a search on the hand cream topics – but again, I love using Garnier Hand Cocoon and Palmers cocoa butter – another great (cheap) method for your feet is to slather on olive oil and then pop your feet into some cotton socks and leave overnight – you`ll wake up with nice soft skin! Also helps to have exfoliated first, but still gives a great moisture boost anyway (there`s literally hundreds of things you can do with olive oil – I have a book on it!) – try to do straight after a shower for best absorption.

You can soak your hands and feet (or your whole body) in water with a bit of milk, it helps with the hydration and its cheap. Another thing you can try is milk with honey but im not sure how this works with hands and feet. Palmers also make some good butters for mosturising too and make sure you exfoliate

sounds like a heavenly foot cream Gem. I haven`t tried L`Occitane`s foot cream. A perfect cream to wear to bed 🙂

I would definitely go something that has rich moisturising potential. A cream designed for feet, like the abovementioned Eulactol Heel Balm, QV Heel Balm, and the many others out there are fantastic for restoring health to dry and cracked hands and feet. To get the most out of your product, exfoliate regularly to remove the dead skin, and for personal comfort – right before bed is the best time to do it. Definitely wear something over the top, like socks or soft cotton gloves, because no socks may mean sticking to the floor when you get up in the middle of the night! Gross! Steer clear of soaps and chemicals, wear gloves when doing the dishes, and using barrier creams are fantastic – a product like Silic 15 will help minimise the damage done by frequent water exposure and surfactants.
For a daily hand cream, I use Cuccio Papaya and Green Tea hand lotion – it has antioxidants, the wonderful healing properties of pawpaw, plus the barrier qualities of zinc. Plus it smells fantastic. I keep it near the kitchen sink for after doing the dishes (I am too retarded to clean things properly with gloves on, so my hands have to suffer….)
