I was in Sydney for the first time last year for my birthday – stayed in Darling Harbour and still remember the beautiful views of the city from where I stayed. I do think the novelty would of worn off if I lived there though so I can totally understand where you`re coming from Ally.
I live half way between the Gold Coast and Brisbane so I`m quite happy where I am. However I used to live in the city (Brisbane) and it does get wearing…it`s constantly lit up, constantly busy and most of all, constantly LOUD. Grew up in Melbourne and put it this way, I NEVER want to go back – not even for a holiday. It is so grey and it just depressed the sh*t out of me way too much.
I like the county and the beach – but could never live there as again, I`m sure the novelty would wear off quickly. For now, I`m happy being a suburbia girl!

I lived in the country until i was about four, so i cant really remember much of what life was like there. A lot less hectic id imagine. But i have been back for holidays and day trips and can say i wouldnt want to live there at this stage of mylife. i love being so close to the city and the cbd yet also being able to go down to the beach as well. city for me all the way! but when i am older i def might consider moving back .

I know what you mean Allyr. I`m from the country, but have lived in the city for 10 years, and I`m getting sick of it now. I want to move back to the country, where everything is 10 minutes away and getting a parking spot at the supermarket isn`t a problem.
I also love the silence that you get in the country.
