Hypothetically……
Would a good hairdresser (aka one someone has been seeing for years) be able to do blonde foils over dyed brown hair without too much drama? Just asking for no reason 😉

I’ve never had them done properly, only ever had 5-6 blonde foils (last time was well back in my teens) put through the top but I want to get a decent mix through my hair and try being lighter, quite excited about it 🙂 Glad to read some good results, wish it was sooner lol

I’ve done this more than once without issues 🙂 I actually think it’s a better result with blonde foils over brown hair rather than brown foils over blonde hair. The hairdresser just needs to get the right amount of peroxide and leave it on the right amount of time then put some toner in and you’ll be set!!

I hope it works and looks great. My daughter has always been a blondie but last year decided to go darker brown. Then this year she changed her mind again and wanted to go back to blonde. The hairdresser just toned it all over to take out the darkness and did a head full of foils. Her hair turned out perfectly and really blonde.

She regularly does my two sister in law’s hair, giving them blonde foils (one dark blonde one dark brown) so I feel confident, even more after reading these replies. now to play the waiting game lol

i had it done before and it was no problem at all and im a natural red head(auburn), it depends on the hairdresser, my good friend had hers done by a hair dresser and did a terrible job, made the foils look more orangey then blonde. Find a great hairdresser and you will be fine.

$99 for all that is a great price.
My aunt recently got cut, foils and blow dry for $220, I almost fell off my chair!
Oh my gosh a new hair style will be so exciting. I think it will suit you. I can’t believe you are getting married to soon! That is the most exciting part =) -

Cool. I want a big change after the wedding i’ve had longish dark brown hair since forever and want to go shoulder length and get light foils (including blonde) through it. My hairdresser charges $99 for colour, 1/2 head foils, shampoo cut and straighten which is pretty reasonable…. gonna book it in on my wedding day when i’m getting my hair styled. Can’t wait for a hair overhall 🙂
