How to use eyelash curlers

makesmewonder now thats a new one – freezing the eyelash curler… How long do you have to freeze it for? I might try that one

i love eyelash curlers! definately try to get as close as possible to the eyelid and press hard.. u can freeze your curler for a few minutes beforehand for extra lift

I use a normal one but I have a heated one too and I`ve tried the hairdryer but I heated it up too hot and burnt myself 🙂
But I just leave my eye open and put the eyelash curler on my eyelashes if that make sense:)
I`m not very good at explaining things.

Ive never brought a heated eye lash curler before just done it this way and my makeup artist doesnt even heat it normally

Ive heard that suggestion before, it sounds really useful and since I still havent gotten around to purchasing a heated curler I might give that a try first to see how effective it is. I will report back 🙂

Do you have a heated eyelash curler? If not you can heat your eyelash curler up with your blow dryer and it will help your metal eye lash curler heat up. Only heat it up for a couple of seconds making it warm (not hot). Then proceed to curl your lashes (by clamping down on your lashes) and then apply your mascara.

I just find if I apply my mascara first and then curl that my lashes seem to be so stiff that the effect of the curler is lessened dramatically and the results dont seem to be as noticeable or perfected.

I too use a conventional one and have done both before and after applying mascara. My only problem with applying the mascara first is then if you get too much of a kink in your lashes from the curler, you`ve either got to live with it or start all over again.

Oh wanting beauty- i dont actually close my eyes when i curl the lashes, LOL! Sorry i did make it seem that way..
I just meant i close my eyes so the curler is right at the top of my lashes, then i open them and curl.

Wanting Beauty I too am a curl after mascara girl…I worry it`s damaging my lashes, but it`s looks so much more dramatic and they hold their curl all day. I have been doing it for years, and so far still have all my eye lashes…so I guess it can`t be that bad…
