How Can I Show Her?

So I’m in a relationship with a woman that Ive been seeing for 4mths, she suffers from PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder), somthing most of the soldiers that get shipped out to Iraq come back with, anyway, we dont live with eachother which is going to make this a little harder but, I want to give her something so she knows I am thinking of her, that I miss her etc. I was thinking of a book on love or somethig but I wouldnt have a clue which one? Or if someone can suggest an idea? I’ve tried flowers before but, long story short, they’re not her thing.

I love to write myself and if was given a journal as a gift would love it. It could be especially special if you perhaps started it by writing something personalised form you to her in it 🙂 Doesn’t have to be a perfect letter or poem just something from the heart ♥

does she like poems, being a writer maybe so. What about a romantic poetic book about love and maybe pick out a poem in the book and write a note telling her this poem reminds you of her.

Depending on how serious the relationship is, and the depth of feeling you have for one another, I am thinking that something engraved would be nice. Something simple like, ‘Always in my heart’ might me nice. I’m such a hopeless romantic!

By far the best way (I think) to let her know that you care, is by always being available as an ‘ear’ and by giving her warmth and support. You will probably find that you’ll both ‘grow’ through the experience.

I also think that a nice pen with something nice engraved on it would be very special. My daughter also loves writing and I once bought her a really nice calligraphy set. Also a nice writing set would be good too. Or maybe a book like the five languages of love might be nice too. Good luck deciding Bella and I think its a really nice thing that youre doing for your friend too. Sometimes just to know someone really cares is enough to make us feel better too.

PTSD is really horrible and I feel for you and your friend. Nightmares are one of the common symptoms of this illness. I think your desire to give your friend is very beautiful and agree that a journal and/or a beautiful pen would be lovely. A card expresssing your thoughts would be very special as well. x

you could always have an inscription engraved on one of the nice silver pens?

You could also make a photo book with some pictures of you both and some nice messages on some pages.
    I love it when…….
    You make me smile….
    etc

    Good Luck.

Hi Bella Boo, does she keep a journal? Maybe she would like a nice leather bound journal or perhaps a really lovely pen? 🙂

I agree with Hooha. I think that woudl be a lovely gift, and just have a nice card telling you how you feel that you are thinking of her to accompany it. Swarovski make some gorgeous pens 🙂 I recently picked one up for a friend’s birthday! Now I want one for myself! If you got a pen, you could always get it engraved. There are some cheaper options, like parker pens, they have a whole range at all different price points.

I love writing and I’d be ecstatic to receive a gorgeous journal and pen. There’s a website called Pamper Boxes, they have the most beautiful gifts and you can buy one thing or put together your own pamper box. I gave one to my sister for Christmas and she said everything in it was absolutely beautiful. You can get things like journals, hand made pens (they’re awesome), chockies, aromatherapy oils, wine, books of poems and love. You’ll find something you know she’ll love there, I’m sure of it.
    Hope you find something.
