Hot Flushes

I’m perimenopausal – and am constantly, throughout the day & night getting hot flushes. It’s very embarrassing and it’s not something you can hide.

I also have problems with being sweaty – I loathe it!!

What I am trying to find, is a nice antiperspirant, that is small & compact so I can have it at work.
I’ve been looking for one which has a simple scent & actually works.
Any ideas?

mztrish…i was in chemist warehouse just yesterday and i seen these patches, theyre made specifically for people who sweat alot, the patches are soft and padded and have a light adhesive and a built in deoderant, you wear them under your arms apparently. Thats all i know about them though.

    Thankyou Pusstiss,
Been meaning to come in here & letting everyone know how I`m going.
I will be talking to chemist tomorrow about the Meno-Health, as I take
other medications I need to know if they will be ok before I take them.
I had been using a light mist spray of water when the hot flushes hit,
and I carried around (and still do) a can of deodorant.
The hot flushes don`t hit as much anymore, so I think I am now
Menopausal instead of being peri-menopausal. They do however, hit when
I least expect them, just not as often.
I have found that I needed lots of rest, drinking lots of water.
Just want to let you all know – there IS light at the end of the menopausal tunnel 🙂

Mztrish my sister suffered badly with hot flushes and never went anywhere without people commenting on whether or not she had started a fitness regime that`s how bad it was!
She no longer carries a small hand towel or wetpack (face cloth) and now has her mojo is back lol…
She has been taking a all natural day and night dosage of Meno – Health for 4 months now without a drop of perspiration, mood swing or any form of bloating at all. She is feeling and looking younger which we believe is a result of the tablets as her diet intake has not changed!
She calls them her happy pills, there must have been some closet meno`s at her work as some made enquiries on the brand name……..you may also like to review this online its called Meno-Health by Wagner I kept the details as I am sure it will come in handy soon enough!
Hope this helps you in some way and do let everyone know how your going sweet!

    Hello again everyone,
Well, I didn`t get to the Naturopath – been too busy working.
But I have found that having a tepid to warm shower (not the usual hot shower – which I miss)
does help. Not too many hot drinks throughout the day; drinking lots of water.
Dimples, it`s funny you should mention wetting the back of the neck – I have been using a roll-on
deodorant on the back of my neck, and this too seems to work for me.

I am still getting the hot flushes – but they have slowed in their severity, plus I wear short sleeve shirts
for work and staying away from the jumpers.
When & if there is an airconditioner on, I`ll stand there for a couple minutes, or even standing/sitting near an
    open window or door.
    Good Luck ladies.

I don`t know about hot flushes, but this may help for cooling down: Wetting your inner wrists will cool you down, and also the back of your neck. Not sure if this will work but maybe momentarily?
