Hehe yes I use mine for hemming also! I`m very err I`ll go with `petite` and have to take everything up and in.. this works a treat when you don`t have time/cant be bothered to hit the sewing machine!!

Girl, I folded the legs up about 3 cm, so you can`t see the hem line at all. I didn`t think about doing a tricky little hem-fold thing to create a false hem.

Pepsi, make sure you get the tape that is on a tape dispenser, 9m for $20, great stuff. You can also use it to stop gaps between buttons in your blouse, or to stop bra straps from slipping – pretty much anything!

Shell, that looks pretty much like the product I bought. I`m sorry I didn`t discover it sooner!

i am allergic to band aids so i know how you feel, i bought a pack from target by antz pantz that had tape, nipple covers and a few other goodies and i have never had a reaction to it and best of all you can reuse everything in the pack. it cost about $14 but it was totally worth it. I am also going to call into myer and get some tape, i have a fabulous pair of jeans i wear with my boots but they are too long to wear with flats and i would love to be able to wear them with everything.
you might want to cut a small piece of the tape and stick it to your tummy or behind your knee to find out if your going to have a reaction to it.

oh wow bluerose, I would never have thought of using tape to shorten a pair of jeans. Do you fold the bottom inside the leg, or do a little tuck towards the bottom so that the hem is still visible? I will have to give tape a try on my jeans because I don`t get them taken up.

I bought from Myer lingere department last week this little tape dispenser with 9m of similar product for $19.95. I wanted to shorten the legs of a pair of jeans that are perfect with heels but too long for flats. The sales assistant said it was better than Hollywood tape for sticking to fabric, and it worked wonderfully – I am very impressed.
I haven`t tried it on my skin though, so I can`t give you any feedback for how it would go. I often end up with angry red swollen marks on my skin from the silicone grips on my strapless bras, I wonder if the hollywood tape has similar properties?
