Helppp with super straight lashes!
Ok guys so ive tried curling before mascara, curling after mascara, heating my curler, mascara that supposedly enhances curls and lift, ive tried curling and not putting as much mascara on so it doesnt weigh my lashes down…im half asian so it doesnt help but i seemed to have mastered making my eyes look brighter and bigger with eyeliner but these damn lashes get to me! 🙁 any suggestions?

I had the Shu Uemura curler and recently bought the Shiseido one which is so much better! If you have Asian eyes like me, the Shiseido one is definitely much better, it isn’t as curved so it’s actually wider therefore you are able to get the lashes on the corner and I can curl right up to the root of the lashes too. I’ve compared the shape/size of both curlers and the Shiseido one is more for Asian faces.
As far as mascaras go, I apply sparingly so as not to weigh my lashes down and I don’t apply to the roots.
Tried perming my lashes but it just didn’t work for me
I agree with the mascara weighing lashes down, it’s annoying because I would spend a bit of time curling them up then applying mascara just instantly weighs it down.
Maybe sometime soon cosmetic companies will invent a ‘light weight’ mascara?! *wink wink to Maybelline and Lancome lolWhat I usually do is, apply one quick coat of masacara, once it’s dried I curl them up again, and do another coat, then curl it..I usually do this 3 times- takes so long!! but it really has amazing staying power throughout the day!
Another tip I found that gives the illusion of thicker lashes is lightly pat translucent powder on the fingertip and gently run across the curled eyelashes giving it a nice dust. Then apply mascara, not only does it ‘thickens’ the lashes but gives good volume too 🙂
Speaking of a light weight mascara, maybe Max Factors Xpereince range mascara would work? Their whole motto for that range is perfect results with a light weight feel/hold. They always have like $10 off the range nowdays.

I. ve been watching a lot of youtube gurus lately and one of them (gossmakeup artist in his video on favorite mascaras, I suppose) mentioned that waterproof mascaras can hold the curl for longer than regulars.
My favorite one is L’Oreal Telescopic Clean Definition, it elongates your lashes, does great job separating them and hold the curl very well. I think I have pictures taken at noon and then in the evening (around 9-10 pm) to show its staying power. I can post it here if you want.

Thanks for your Post! So Perfect~
I Love mascara, really superb eyelash curlers and all things Lashes. My new FAV is the Hot Lashes heated 2 pc lash curler. It has gotten great reviews at Amazon.com–Cult favorite Hot Lashes Makeup artist Kit..Absolute best..
They have a great sturdy 24K gold metal curler similiar to the Shu Uemura and Sheisdo one that comes with its own seperate pink small heater base that heats just the pad in the curler, this way my curl really lasts.
Makes my eyes POP and keeps my lashes super curly, they have a website Hotlashes.com…HTH~
This product is my Beauty religion~Major Rave, the cadillac of curlers..so worth the price. My friends and I love love love this one! Best by far,,
HTH~…:) Abundant blessings to all..
