Help! My French Tips went Yellow?!

Okay so i did my nails this morning as I had an interview in the arvo. I do them myself often and decided a french mani would be best.

Away I went and after I was done, I applied my top coat as usual and they looked great!

Until about 2 hours later. On the bus to my interview I noticed that the very tips of the white had a slight yellow tinge. I thought Oh great I must have some foundation residue on my hands. Nope. Washed them, everything. Wasnt foundation!

Anyways, It wasnt too noticable so I didnt worry. The bus trip home, I’ve noticed its “spread” and now half of my white tips are yellow! By the time I’m home the whole white tip was now tinged yellow as was a bit of my french pink!

Any ideas what could have happend ladies? Its the first time I’ve ever experienced this.. and I might have another interview on Friday, and dont want my french tips turning yuck again!

So this was only for the result of the polish on them – not of the nails itself? I never had that happen if its just the polish or a coating. But for keeping the growth of nails white and removing yellowed parts i have good advices for that.

Nup, not my natural nails. the actual polish. still have no idea what happened! Am staying away from those two polishes for now just incase!!!!!!

I really never heard of this type of reaction. it could be due to so many factors tho. I agree maybe just not using these now is the simple option. it mite reaction with the top coat if it affected all over, but do u use a kit or a set of ur own polishes.

I used all the polishes about 2 weeks ago with no issues. So dont think they were off :S Just such a weird thing to happen. I feel liek there mustve been something on my hands to react with it… as its just odd!

I did use a coles baby wipe to remove nail polish remover residue… but I wouldntve thought that would cause it to discolour. Is it possible maybe the heat may have affected my polish? Hrm….

I decided to pick up a new pink and white just incase, as I dont want it to happen again! I’ll test out the polishes on their own another day I think and hopefully get to the bottom of it!

Where the products in date? Sounds odd but I’ve had this pale beige polish take on a orange/yellow tinge due to being kept a bit too long and going off. Otherwise, could something you put on your hands like a sanitizer or cream may of reacted weirdly with the polish
