With most of the weddings I`ve attended recently, I`ve found the service to slightly more casusal (bust still smart casual, e.g. a petty top and smart dress pants) and then alot of people were changing into more glam wear for the reception. And while we`re on the subject, my bf`s best friend is getting married in a few months, and as my bf is the best man I`ll have to go alone (or with his parents) … I`m really nervous for some reason! It`s going to be quite a dressy affair, so I`m already on the look for a dress ….

I love dressing up for weddings, there isn`t many other occasions where you can dress up all nice and pretty and wear gowns and stuff. It really depends on the wedding itself. it should say on the invite if it`s formal or semi formal. You should also think about the venue, is it in a swish hotel? Then you should definitely go all out and dress up. but of course if it`s a more casual setting (ie. beach) then definitely dress down. Good luck!

What clothes are you comfortable in Ceejaye88? I`ve a jeans girl, but a nice pair of classic trousers, and then a classic shirt won`t go astray…and then if it`s in the garden, you can add a classic hat (some basic forms can be bought at places like Spotlight – if you have one close), and match it with a bright bag/scarf combo – great accessories to lift your outfit. It`s always difficult on how good you want to look, cause you don`t want to out-shine the bride! But you can twinkle heaps!
