Hair Care!

hey girls!
Just wondering if anyone has a shampoo/conditioner brand that they would recommend to me… I have curly, thick, brown, long hair and i find it hard to find a shampoo thats right for me. Has anyone tried one that makes your hair shiny and smooth like on the TV?!?!

Hey glam queen, i also have quite thick wavy hair and am a brunette. I am currently using Sebastian Professional range which i am liking. John Frieda has some great colour keeping shine shampoo/conditioners which would be worth checking out. Goodluck with your haircut.

trust me sista you are never going to get hair like the girls on the telly…………..so much digital mastering there, that kind of shine does not exist.
anyway, i`m using Kerastase, can`t remember the name but it`s good for damaged, dry, coloured hair, is moisturizing but not heavy. sounds like you need salon products so maybe have a chat with your stylist. 🙂

I tried the Elvive shampoo and conditioner and I found it left my hair really lank and heavy (I have wavy/curly hair), I didn`t like it at all. It all depends on how much $$$ you want to spend, but at the cheaper end, I quite like the new clairol herbal essences range from the supermarket.

Im a fan of Loreal Paris Elvive shampoo & conditioner. I`m using the yellow ones for hair repair/breakage protection or something like that. The work nicely, and you can feel it as soon as you smother your hair in the conditioner – its rich and creamy. I also use the matching mask once a week. It makes all the difference, especially if you leave it on for half an hour to an hour!

I have dark brown hair too, but it`s not what I would call thick.
I use John Frieda`s Brilliant Brunette moisturising range, and recently I have started to use the Alfaparf Semi Di Lino illuminating mask, on a weekly basis, this makes my hair ultra soft & glossy.

I also have blonde hair, but I have tried numerous products and I have found RPR to be one of my favourite brands in Shampoo and Conditioner. There products really nourished my hair and leave it feeling so soft.

I have blonde hair so I`m prob not the best to recommend shampoo/conditioner – however I can recommend this amazing treatment I bought recently which makes my hair nice and shiny and smooth – it`s Inecto pure coconut oil moisture repair treatment – awesome stuff!
