had any bad DIY beauty trestments?

anyone tried any DIY beauty remedies / tresatments that failed misseribly?
i’ve tried several
heated olive oil for dry hair ended up with a greesy scalp and had to shampoo several times
egg yolk and honey hair treatment (my nan told me that shes been doing it for years) washed it out with too hot water and eneded up with cooked egg in hair so hard to get out

    I agree with gemini69…I was sick of everything going off…its much easier to buy a product and not worry that you only have a week to use it up be4 it goes rotten.

    many years ago I was given a recipe to make a natural hair remover out of sugar. I couldn`t get the right consistency and I applied some to my skin when it was still too hot and took off some skin. ouch!!! some home made remedies are great but as gemini69 said sometimes it`s easier and cheaper to buy the branded products.

    Once apon a time many years ago, I tried to make my own, but they kept on going off to quick, (even though I refridgerated them)
    so I was wasting money and my time, so in the end I decided I was better off just buying the brand products, it saves me time too, (not making them)
