yes! Hayley got right on to it and I got a phone call from the salon, they actually apologised to me and everything which I really appreciated because I had felt like an absolute idiot yesterday.
They’ve cleared up the whole mess and want to book me in ASAP so that I can provide the feedback.
It was a lot of work but I’m so glad the outcome is good!!

The salon must be affiliated with the AHC so tell the salon to contact the AHC or contact Hailey Mears yourself to explain, I’m sure she’ll fix it right away as they are after good feedback. Still haven’t gotten around to emailing her yet, maybe tomorrow night.

Nope that’s not right Empire, it’s hair cut, colour, treatment etc to the value of $300. The BH girls told me to just contact the salon and I actually got an email the other day asking me to review my experience. This is the email I received;

“Congratulations on winning the Beauty Heaven, Australian Hairdressing Council competition!

The AHC would love to feature a testimonial from you on our Facebook page, about your salon experience.

If you could please email across your thoughts on your hair experience we would be incredibly grateful. Please don’t forget to include your name and the name of the salon you visited.

I’d contact the salon again and tell them it’s for the the Beauty Heaven, Australian Hairdressing Council competition and if they still don’t have a clue contact BH or Hayley Mears.

Sigh, thanks Stay C… I thought that might be the case.
It’s just very frustrating because I have no evidence that it is worth $300… how am I supposed to prove that to the salon?? I still haven’t had a reponse from BH and I just don’t know what to do.

I also received that email from the hairdressing council, and I forwarded that email to the salon to hopefully make them aware of what I’m entitled to, but again that email doesn’t state any details.

I might try emailing Hayley Mears. Hoping for a good outcome here!

Also I didn’t use up the whole $300 so they gave me a voucher for $85 which will almost cover a cut with the same hairdresser again, she charges $90.

Yep just ring the salon and tell them that you’ve won the prize with BH, there’s only one salon in QLD too so they knew all about it. I’m getting mine done tomorrow as the hairdresser got sick on Tuesday and they cancelled on me, after I’d driven almost 2.5 hours to Brisbane. Luckily I met up with Hachoo and Frannybee so it was still a great day but rather disappointing.

So I rang the salon (only one listed in WA) and they had no idea, had to pass me on to the manger who still had no idea, then after she rumaged around with some papers while I waited in utter embarrassment repeating the mumbled words “beauty heaven… prize, INOA”, she found something related to beautyheaven, but said it only entitled me to $35.00 off the treatment?
was that the same for you stayc??
and she said she wasn’t expecting to hear from anyone until July, but this comp was way back in early May!! So I think there is some serious confusion, but I can’t back it up with any actual voucher… and I haven’t had a reply from BH from my email last week.

Not that I’m complaining about $35.00, its just that I’ve heard that this salon is REALLY expensive and I dont want to end up spending more than I usually would at my regular hairdressers.

Wowsers, that is a haul of a haul, lol! Great photo 🙂
