GHD – Really worth it???

Hey all. I have seen the new GHD gift pack available and since it doesn’t seem to be that much more than a GHD straightener on it’s own – I figure if I take the plunge and purchase a GHD than this would be the buy for me (The gift pack is purple and comes with straightener, hair dryer, clips and bag for $329).
I have had a couple of hair straighteners in the past and my current one is a Bayliss ceramnic one which I’ve had for over 3 years and it’s dying. In your opinions, do you believe GHD is worth the money and does it do a better job than other brands?
Looking forward to hearing your responses 🙂

yeh exactley, unless it is an actual authorized dealer, some hair and beauty salons are authorized to sell online.. but i would be very picky as as to where you purchase…If you wer eo do it that way.

Would you really buy one online though? How would you know it wasn`t fake? At least with GHDs you can tell coz they have serial numbers…

Shannont where do you buy the sako from and how much? I`ve heard similar comments about the Diva straighteners – as I`ve mentioned on other straighener threads I think – they just don`t have the name that GHD does, but as just as good for half the price!

GHD`s are fantastic…. however the new one work at a lower temperature which means it is harder to tame hair… there is a brand out there called Sako… these are literally exactley the same.. the man that made them worked as a GHD repair technician and he basically designed a GHD without the fault he was regularly fixing… It might not have the name, but i know when it comes to replacing mine, i will be opting for his..

the ghds are definantly worth it, the ceramic plates are better for your hair, much more gentle, and causes less damage, and ghd makes your hair dead straight and look very sleek and sexy

    Hi

4 of my girlfriends have bought a GHD, all started with one girl and the est followed suit. They all claim it`s done wondrs for their hair, great for straightening as well as curling. However, one of them, lilla, did say that regardless of what it claims, her hair still had split ends (she trims often) and straightening is never good for the hair anyway. Still the GHD deliverd the perfect shiny straight hair! they seem to love it very much and another gal adelene is getting one soon!!
definitely use the heat protectors esp if you`re straightening it everyday.
