My father is 50 and he has no grey hair ! My mother is younger and is already experiencing grey hair probably because she constantly dyes her hair when it fades off.
My husband has a huge amount of grey in his hair and he only turned 30 this year – luckily, the grey parts suit him, makes him look quite gentlemanly lol…and very handsome. He is thinking of letting me dye it for him soon though as he is beginning to feel a tad self concious about it. I am 25 and so far I`m grey free, hope I don`t go grey until my 40`s like most of my aunty`s and my mum!
I found my first grey hairs yesterday and I freaked out. There I was standing in the public toilets looking in the mirror quite intensely at myself, pulling out my hair. I`m 31 and I know that my mother started to go grey in her 30`s. I`m peeved as I told myself after 19 years of dyeing my hair that I would go to my natural colour before I go grey… I guess it`s too late for that.
But I can see here that I`m not the only one to go grey.
And at least I`m in my thirties 😉
My partner started to go grey in his early 20`s and I used to dye it for him (he wont let me now). The greyness runs in his family – his 13 year old nephew is starting to grey also…but his mother who is in her early 50`s is totally white haired…it must suck being them!
If it`s of any consolation a friend of mine started greying when she was only 8 yrs old, or earlier. It`s a genetic condition, the poor girl`s hair made her look much older than her age. She only started using hair dye when she was in uni.
That is unfair, Bizzy. A friend of mine started going grey at about 25. She`s got long, dark hair, so she`s constantly dying her hair also. I remember when I got my first grey hair, I freaked out and took out about 4-5 hairs trying to pluck it out!
