french manicure

Has anyone else purchased a Sally Hansen 5 minute manicure pen kit and found that the colour polish comes out really streaky when dried? It looks horrible. Im just wondering whether im doing something wrong (im following the directions in pack) or whether its something to do with the product..The manicure pure white tip polish pen is excellent though – highly reccomend!

to avoid streaks I try to paint the entire nail in one brush stroke. the more times you paint the nail it can become a little streaky. sometimes running your nails under water can speed up drying time. Creative Nails also have a product called speedy which is a top coat that dries really quickly.

ok i understand all that but i have a problem actually getting the first coat to ever dry, after over 30 minutes it is still like it has only been on for 30 seconds and i also thought she meant to smooth the acutal polish with a cotton tip but ive never tried that. I dont think it woudl really make it fluffy but i dont think it would help my problem either

LOL. that wouldn`t be a good look and unless you like the look of fluffy nails! I use the corrector pen as well but cotton buds are a cheap alternative.

If you use a cotton tip dipped in a little nail polish remover it helps remove polish around the skin and correct little mistakes.

To see if your polish is ready for another coat, lightly tap your nails together, if they are tacky wait another 5 minutes. MaryJane – what do you actually do with the cotton tip? I would have thought the fibers would stick to your polish?
