foundation trouble..please help!!! ASAP

It’s my formal on friday..(two days time), and due to my late and irresponsible makeup booking, I am going to have to do my own makeup. Which is fine, except that I don’t have a decent foundation at the moment. Can anybody recommend to me a medium to heavy coverage foundation, that doesnt make me look cakey, orange, oily, or dry skinned. I have combination skin with dry patches but an oily T-zone.
I have to buy a new foundation tomorrow, but don’t have a huge budget.
The foundation needs to last all night, and be good in photos 🙂
Thanks!

And good luck for your formal on Thursday!!!! Just be careful after drinking at the end of the night…although I had a great night, the end was tainted when I tripped over after getting home…it looks like I`ve probably broken my nose :S lol
Any advice on hiding a nose the size of a tennis ball?? lol
    Have a great night!!! 🙂

    The formal was great thanks!!!
I went with the revlon colourstay and it was awesome 🙂
My makeup was gorgeous all night! When I upload my photos I`ll put one as my display picture on here and show you how it all went 🙂 I didn`t get the makeup regime tip until afterwards but I did all that apart from the toner and the moisturiser anyway, because my primer is a moisturising one lol.
Thanks so much for the advice, I`m definately recommending the colourstay to anyone who needs an all night foundation!

It might be worth investing in a good primer to hold your makeup on? Also a transclucent powder dusted lightly over the top also helps `set` your makeup…

It sometimes is so time consuming how much we ladies spend on our makeup to look beautiful but it is worth it all!

Hi Shivvie, where are you based? I am a Sydney – Newcastle makeup artist, shame I couldn`t help!!
A good foundation with medium – heavy coverage: MAC StudioFix fluid $48.00 is fantastic, Makeup Store liquid foundation $38.00 is excellent, Napoleon Perdis has a Target range called NP Set which I have heard is good the foundation is $39.00.
Here is a great regime for you to prepare for your special night:
    *Cleanse
*Exfoliate – to bring radiance and prevent flakiness under your makeup
    *Tone
*Moisturise – use one without SPF to avoid excess shine
*Primer – to hold your foundation
    *Foundation
*Powder – loose or pressed to stop the shine and to hold the foundation on your skin
    *Blush/Bronzer/Shimmer
    *Eye shadow
    *Eye liner
    *Mascara

    HAVE A BEAUTIFUL NIGHT! xx

I absolutely love the covergirl creme foundation age radiance one, and was using it all through winter. It`s just now that summer has come, it melts off pretty quickly and leaves me looking oily. Perfect for cold weather though. I`ll definately go with the revlon colourstay one i think with so many recommendations lol!! How much is it could anyone tell me?

Actually I`ve tried the Revlon Colourstay and i recommend that too, i was worried i would breakout using this foundation but only recently i`ve found out it was oil-free which is great =]

Hi Shivvie… I`m with Princess pink on the Revlon colourstay. I wear it and find that it lasts really well and is not cakey at all. If you want really good coverage, apply with a make-up sponge or brush. Will come up a treat in photos. If your skin has been a bit dry lately, maybe go for the dry skin one, there are two (normal to combination or normal to dry). The dry one goes on nice and smoothly :o)
