Foundation that stays put!

I work long hours and dont have the time no constanly be infront of the mirror fixing my makeup as its sweated of during the day. I have combination skin with the occassional break out. Can anyone recommend a foundation that will last the day? I’ve tried one by L’Oreal awhile ago but found the foundation stuck to certain parts of my face more than others. I ideally like medium to full coverage.

I think the stickability of make up has more to do with what your skin is like under. So, I`m definately going to try the primer.

Everyone seems to be raving about mineral foundations at the moment. Maybe give those a try? I know you can get free samples from everyday minerals and I think signature minerals off the internet, you just have to pay for postage which is around $5 but the samples last about 3 weeks apparently. You should give them a try!

Primers can sometimes make you break out so be careful, don`t purchase the full size if you have the choice.
I think Revlon Colourstay is GREAT, it`s so good that it takes a while to wash off! Stays on for hours and it`s great for the $35 price tag!

just put your regular foundation on then apply a translucent powder over the top of it .. it holds your makeup n place all day .. nutrimetics do a good one for 37$ i think

I`m finding the Mirenesse Velvet makeup very good and I`ve seen their mineral makeup in action and it`s waterproof but I haven`t tried that one myself. I get oily T zone and the Mirenesse one stays on the most for me – and boy have I tried a lot of foundations!! I know Revlon used to make a gorgeous stay put makeup but they took it off the market!! I don`t know why they do that!? Anyhow, Mirenesse are available on line and you can also get `free` products to try if you wish to pay the postage. You need to be quick though as their free stuff sells out really fast.

I don`t know if this will help but I use Australis powder cream and it lasts all day. It`s fairly cheap, around $10 – $15. It`s the creamy stuff that turns into a powder type.
    Maybe worth a try?

I had the exact same problem.. And I have freckled skin so it was important that my foundation stayed put!
I had a mini makeover at Napoleon and tried their Auto Pilot Primer.. It was the BEST investment ever. It acts like a base for your foundation, so not only does my foundation stay put but i have MUCH better skin due to the fact the foundation doesn`t really come in contact with my skin. I have fewer Breakouts and generally a brighter, healthier complexion… Do yourself a favour and try a primer.. You wont regret it !!
