Foundation Help!
My lovely sis in law is looking for a foundation for our dad’s wedding coming up on Saturday. She has combination skin, dry around the eyes but oily everywhere else with some pimples so she likes a full coverage. probably around the $30-$40 price point, and one that is good for getting photos taken. Hope you gorgeous ladies have some suggestions!

I love Elizabeth Arden Resilience Lift. It is heavy enough to look covered, but not too heavy that she would not wear it again after the wedding. It is a little bit more pricey, around $70, but a great foundation. I have tried others and this one is definitely my favourite.

No problem, Maybelline’s Dream Matte Mousse foundation isn’t to bad either but I think it always looks a little to cakey and doesn’t have adjustable coverage.
Hi….I was just wondering if u tried applying the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse with a foundation brush as I have never found it to look cakey when using a brush….it could if you use ur fingers or sponge to apply i guess. xo
Unfortunately I have tried it with a sponge, foundation brush, powder brush (yes i know, but I thought it was worth a try), beauty blender, fingers, the works but it still was to heavy for me, in saying that I do like a lighter coverage, one that I can adjust the coverage with, so when my face is playing up I can put on a little more then usual.
i liked the dream matte liquid it blended really evenly just using my fingers. and the new smooth dream is really nice it blends blemishes away really well. i really love that range.
i find this a little bit heavier coverage but still very natural -

I know it’s a little more than $40, but I recommend Clinique’s range, either Even Better or even Acne Solutions (This one is good for keeping your skin matte) or even Super Balanced. Great range of shades and of course hypoallergenic and fragrance free 🙂

Go high end when buying foundation especially if she is after long lasting full coverage. Try MAC or Chanel, I know they are out of her price range but they are so worth spending a little extra on.

Yes she does but I think she’s run out, she’ll prob use it regularly (well there’s heaps of events in the family in the next few months), but as I said she would prefer a full coverage for everyday. The Matte Morphose sounds good thanks!

Try a combo of Rimmel blemish concealer (if needed), then apply Maybelline Mousse foundation with a foundation brush. Finish off with Rimmel compact powder applied wih sponge. The cost of the 3 should come in around the $40 mark and you can apply little at a time to get the desired amount of coverage. (Build it up gradually). Hope this helps!!!!!!!! xo

Does your SIL not normally wear make-up?!
Is she going to use it regularly or for once of wear?
I have heard that sometimes make-up with SPF can look a little white in professional photos at times? Maybe someone can clarify this.
