wow i love formals. okay best advice i can give you. whatever you wear, do or put on dont forget the best acessory is your smile. laugh and have fun; dont ever forget that.
okay so blue emerald dress hmm i think you have two options here; natural or party. party i would use a black or silver eyeliner preferably silver with some mascar, use wither green, blue or gold eyeshadow, but not too much. for the lips just use some lip gloss you just need a shine.
now with the hair, you say your hair is long? then what you can do is either straighten it till its dead straight, then use a bobby pin and either pin your fringe back into a quiff/puff or pin it to the side. next option is to curl your hair, loose curls and that should look good. hope you liked my advice! have fun, enjoy your day and most imporatntly smile!

I loose toussled bun with a smokey eye, but ive seen some interesting things being done with the smokey eye lately. Try to match the smokey eye to your dress, you`ll be suprised how good it looks! If you`re still unsure go to a hairdresser that also specialises in make-up and ask for a trial?

i like a plait at the front and then flowing into a stylish high bun

I`ve seen a lot of young girls and then also friends who have been bridesmaids recently using braiding. Braiding the front section of the hair loosely and then having a loose bun/chignon at the back or just curls. So pretty!

I too think long flowing curls would look lovely – keep it simple

My formal is coming up at the end of November too, where are you having yours?
I`d go with open hair, try starting a french braid at the top of your hair so that the top layer of your hair is in a braid, then let the rest of it hang loose in curls and put shiny (diamonte?) sliding clips in your hair.
Is you hair naturally curly? or straight?
