Fine Straight Hair.
Does anyone know of anything to thicken thin hair. Only interested in products that do work not all the gimmics.

Thanks Skittles, I mean Skitzkitty, I`ll have a look. And you`re right Mel the rain water is less harsh on my hair but I find that shampoos are generally made to be used with town water and all of the additives so sometimes they just don`t work so well with fresh water.

I notice water makes a HUGE difference to how your hair behaves – everytime I go to Melbourne, my hair is so much softer & easier to manage! Stay C – I use the Matrix occasionally & find it`s quite heavy too. You need something really light that won`t weigh your hair down – Kerastase (the green ones) are fantastic, but a bit pricey. Works out good value in the end though, because you only need to use a tiny bit each wash.

I`m bringing this topic back up because I`ve been using Matrix shampoo and conditioner and while it was working really well while I was housesitting and using town water, full of chlorine and other stuff, but now that I`m back on tank water it`s just not as good, a bit too heavy. I`m thinking of going back to my Goldwell Dualsenses which has been very effective and smells divine. I have fine, coloured hair. Does anyone else use tank water and have shampoo and conditioner suggestions for me.

purplegirl, I`ve seen it in Priceline – usually on a bottom shelf where the vitamins are. I`ve seen it in Chemist Warehouse too. I don`t know if I have the same one as GB and melmeko, but mine`s actually called Silicea. Here`s the website:
I forgot to take it with me when I went on holidays and my hair is feeling a bit limp and sad, so I think it really must do some good. I`ve just started taking it again on the weekend.
