Azn, I`ve been using a product called Exposed for a couple of years now, and found it has done wonders to clear up my skin. I still get blemishes from time to time, but nothing compared to before, and it clears them up in days. I found this brand when I googled proactive. It sounded so good that I ordered it online. From memory, it`s $80-$90 for 4 products that last for a couple of months.

Just a warning – be careful with proactiv – it does work really well for some ppl, but usually only if they have absolutely NO sensitivity in their skin. I tried it, and had a horrilbe reaction (dry, red and flakey skin) which I think my skin has never fully recovered from. I`d be really careful about using this product.
.
Best way to go? Have a facial done – preferably with Dermalogica products – they have a fantastic anti-acne range out there – and the beauty therapise will assess your skin type and help you choose products best for you. It can be pricey, and if it`s out of your range – I`d recommend the cetaphil or qv ranges of skincare – available at chemists and priceline – cetaphil also have an oily skin range if that`s your skin type. Then I`d suggest either splurging on the dermalogica sebum clearing mask and overnight clearing gel. (purchase from http://www.skincarestore.com.au for cheapest price). These products are fantastic and well worth the money. A slightly cheaper option for a mask is Trilogy purifying mask – this stuff is also fantastic.
.
The biggest mistake acne prone ppl do is use too harsh products on their skin – which makes skin extremely sensitised and sets you up for a lot of problesm later – whilst also potentially making your skin worse at the time. Best to go with the most natural, gentle products you can. I just had a quick look at a link I think eskimo bec posted for sukin products – which are natural and much cheaper than some, seem really good you should check them out too! Let us know how you go! -

Azn – sounds like you have almost the exact same skin problems as me.
I have been using the Proactiv skin care range since July of this year and all I can say is that it is WORTH the money as nothing else I have ever tried compares to how good Proactiv really is. It did take 2 months before I noticed a change in my skin however now my skin is completely different to what it was like. Apart from fixing my acne it`s also evened out my skin tone and instead of looking dry and pasty, it looks healthy and even feels nice.
I do still get the odd bump (especially around `that time of the month`) so for this I use spot pens (as well as Proactiv) – I would recommend either Thursday Plantation or the Garnier spot pen.
I would seriously give Proactiv a go…I must sound like Jessica Simpson by now lol but honestly, I`d be very surprised if it didn`t work for you. -

Hi Aznt0mb0i- Can I suggest before using Pro Active that you read some of the information that others at BH have written. The Blackheads will disappear when you have the right and good skincare routine for you.

There are a lot of products to choose from azn, so it prob requires you doing some trial and error to find what works for you. but some of the things ive tried and could recomend are proactiv. it is expensive and doesnt work for everyone but can really work and get rid of acne for some. neutrogena have great products. they have a foaming cleanser which works really well. nutrimoist from nutrimetics ive heard is really good for a misturiser. garnier also have a great face wash, which is a wash scrub and mask all in one. clean and clear have a great toner which i like to use, as well as a cleanser to go with it. i could recommend a lot of brands but they might not apply for you, so maybe start trying some out and see how you go. i hope thats helpful .
