    I prefer liquid liners!

I prefer a eye definer otherwise I’d go with a pencil.

Liquid 100%! However, if you want to use either liquid or pencil and are too obsessed with having that perfect line, you can apply some black eyeshadow with a very thin, flat brush afterwards and this helps to hide any little errors – good luck!

    Reviving an old topic!

What your take on the latest roller aka the pizza cutter eyeliner?
MAC, Nudestix and Revlon has launched this new way of eyelining.

Anyone tried it yet? Yay or nay?

Pencil gives a more natural look while liquid gives you a more dramatic look, in my opinion. I really do prefer pencil for evryday wear.

oh wait one more thing I forgot to mention! It also depends what kind of eyeshadow you’re using. I find cream eyeshadows work really well with gel eyeliner (better than liquid) and they don’t work well at all with pencil.

Thanks Aryanny, BLACKY and Bide for your tips 😀

Like Aryanny said, it depends on what effect you need.

If you’re going to smudge it to get a smoky effect you’ll need a pencil eyeliner that smudges well – check on the back of your hand because not all smudge that well.

Liquid eyeliners go on easily and last a long time. I sometimes set them by going over with a pencil.

Gels are the easiest to put on once you get use to it. I use an angled brush. It took me a lot of practice but I found it had staying power that liquid didn’t give me.

Pencil eyeliner is definitely the best. Always makesure your eyeliner pencil is sharp. Start from the outer corner of the eye and work your way in. Do feathery strokes abit at a time.
The creamy eyeliners are the best. Test it on your hand and you will know what I am
talking about. These are the ones that will look best when you go to do your waterline. (ie. bottom of eye-eyeliner)

If you have sensitive eyes or wear contacts select a hyperallegenic version.

If you choose to use Liquid Eyeliner please ensure it is quality. I have tried some liquid eyeliners that give a washed out look instead of a nice clean line.
