Eyelash Tint
I have seen those eye lash and eyebrow tint kits around for a while now-and wondering if anyone has tried them? and what they think?

I’ve been using the 1000 Hour Lash and Brow tint for years and really like it.
I have my lashes and brows tinted professionally every three weeks but I use the kit for touch ups on my eyebrows in between if I need too.
I have tried it a few times on my lashes but it is quite painfull and never looks as good as it does when done professionally because I can’t get right down to the root of the lashes without getting it in my eyes.My lash and brow tint costs $45 but you can find places that will do eyelashes for as little as $10-$15 if you look around.
I have hard to dye, blonde lashes and brows. I dye my lashes black and my brows dark brown, I’ve found that the places offering cheaper treatments never last as long or go as dark on my lashes, which is why I pay for a more expensive treatment. If your lashes or brows are hard to dye this may be something to consider.

I would recommend staying away from vaseline around the eye area. Its a petroleum based product that is dehydrating to the skin as well a petrol based product. Therapist should be using a natural wax based product when performing lash and brow tints. Also the over the counter lash and brow kits are designed to last less time than the actual professional lash tints. If the brand your therapist uses stings the eyes, you should always mention it to the therapist. The product should not touch the skin at all during a lash tint and usually that will be the only reason why you suffer from any stinging. I would always visit a therapist for a lash or brow treatment as they study a whole unit on lash and brow treatments and know a great deal more than just the instructions will tell you on any retail pack.

Be careful about things you put near your eyes, personally I wouldn’t risk it but if your confident with the product and your ability I say go for it!

thats fantastic, being a therapist I always had my staff to take care of my beauty treatments, but believe me there is nothing like finding someone who is fantastic at their work and just laying back and being taken care of.
i am really fussy and can do all my own beaty treatments now I no longer have a clinic, but when I can I love to find a top operator and just relax.

I have been using mine for a while and I have no problems.
I also wax my own legs and underarms occasionally and do my own facials including steam, extractions, and masks. I wax my own eyebrows and I also do my own pedicures and manicures. While I like to go to the therapist and beautician occasionally, I dont see the point in spending heaps of money on things I can do myself.

It amazes me how some people can really do the whole lash tint experience by themselves. I am a therapist and wouldnt do it. i would just suggest you are really careful and see how you go. the instructions in the kit would be extremely thorough I would think.
Remember to follow instructions to the letter and I would love to hear how it all ends up.
