Ever Lasting Brazilian Keratin Therapy…. Has anyone tried it??

Hi everyone….
I was at workies the otherday and flicking through a magazine i found a ad for a new shampoo and conditioner by Organix and its called ‘Ever Straight Brazilian Keratin Therapy’…
I was just wondering if anyone has actually tried it yet?
I have read heaps of stuff on Keratin Complex and its benefits for hair such as quicker drying and styling time and 95% less frizz and everything like that and am a bit unsure if I should pay the $19.99 each for both of them!
any suggestons?

I just used the Organix Ever Straight Brazilian Keratin Therapy at home kit tonight and bailed half way. I was hopeful but I have to say it was a complete waste of time and money and I would NOT recommend it to anyone. I paid about $30 from Priceline. It was so tedious to put in, I felt a burning sensation at the hairline at the nape of my neck and when I tried to blow dry it, as per the instructions, my hair went as stiff as a board and was straw-like. It stood out at almost right angles to my head! I was so freaked out by how damaging it seemed that I jumped in the shower and washed it out. Don’t do it girls – embrace your waves and curls, or invest and get a professional to straighten it.

This is “money waste” product. after using it my hair gets more dry and frizzier.
    will not recommend to anyone.

Thankyou for all your comments girls =) i really appreciate it. I have pretty frizzy and wavy hair so if I can manage to find any Keratin Complex treatments cheaper I’ll definately have to give it a go!

I had the actual Brazilian Keratin Relaxing Hair Treatment done at a hairdresser last year in Dec. It took 4 hours to do and the results lasted over 3 months. I used the Brazilian Keratin shampoo and conditioner as part of the treatment.
My hair wasn’t ‘dead’ straight but it was more shinier and healthier-looking. Frizz was gone and maintenance time was less. I paid $250 inc. style cut. That was a promotion so it’s actually $400 without a cut.

It’s definitely worth it girls when you can find a special.

Bobo, i bought Organix Keratin treatment from Woolies about 3 weeks ago and am pretty happy with the results, although it did turn my blonde hair a little brassy (nothing a toner couldnt fix). Its the treatment that lasts approx 30 days not the shampoo and conditioner. Im now 3 weeks after application of treatment and although I didnt use the shampoo and conditioner as recommended my hair still feels alot less coarse. Ive got really thick, blonde, coarse, curly hair and the treatment made my hair silky, straighter and alot stronger. It didnt make my hair dead straight but cut down on straightening time from 40 mins to about 15 and really helped with the frizz… Definately worth it! I probably wont re purchase only because it didnt agree with blonde hair, but if your brunette I’d say go for it!

ohh i see, i wouldn’t pay for something i wasn’t unsure of either, and if the shampoo/conditioner tells you exactly what it’s results will be then and will give you more uses then maybe that’s the best way to go, and i guess everything’s worth trying at least once!
i havn’t personally tried one, i have finished my first year of being an apprentice hairdresser, and i know that the ladies who did receive keratin treatments would always make new appointments to have another. I don’t know what it would be like for frizzy hair cause most of these ladies had either straight/curly hair and were mostly getting it done to reduce damage, styling, etc..
i guess you won’t know until you actually try it yourself:)

Yeah I was thinking about it. This Shampoo and conditioner said it lasted about 30 days (which i guess is with using regularly). The last time I went to my hairdresser I asked about the Keratin Complex treatment they did and she said it only ‘slackened’ the unruly frizzies etc for a while but I didnt want to pay that much for an unsure result haha =)
Have you had any Keratin Treatments?
