Eczema sufferers

hi there,
Does anyone else out there in BH land suffer from eczema and if so what products have you used that work?
I think I have tried everything under the sun but my skin seems adjust to whatever good products I find and then I am back at square one. Does anyone else have this problem?

After reading an article on BH stating that shampoo can cause eczema and psoriasis I was amazed. I started getting skin irritations around my shoulders and chest and this certainly made sense. Now I rinse my hair after shampooing, very quickly, and try to avoid the suds on my body for any period of time at all. I also use goat soap and recommended this to a friend with real skin issues. When my skin started with the irritations I applied Goat Moisturising Cream – http://www.core-metrics.com.au. I trialed this product along with the soap through BH and have been using ever since to prevent any skin irritations. Prior to this I resorted to cortisone prescription creams. I also keep my skin moisurised with Nivea 4 in 1 Firming body Oil which I apply while the skin is still moist as this helps distribute the oil quicker and more easily.

I have really sensitive skin and a lot of issues with redness and this works well as a soothing serum to calm my skin down. Recommended.

My sister is currently suffering from a really bad flare up so I came and had a look at this forum to find some tips. She hasn`t been able to go to work for a week because her ezcema is centred around her lips so she`s been having problems talking and eating. Foderma sounds promising. She recently got a food allergy test and a naturopath has got her on an almost paleo diet…just wondering if anyone has cut out certain things from their diet that has worked for them? The naturopath said to cut out eggs, dairy, wheat, sugar and also avocados, tomatoes.

I have pretty bad nummular eczema in most parts of my body, and applying foderma serum twice a day has helped relieve the itchiness by so much. A very good moisturizer, and it did what I needed.

I put foderma serum on my eczema flares and it usually clears it up within 3 days. This is the best lotion I have used for eczema that is not prescription medication.

I am also foderma user too but I have to take other vitamin supplements too. All together thing is going well for me.

Oatmeal baths. Tepid showers, tepid facewashing etc. Minimise your contact time with water. Apply moisturiser to wet skin. Use a moisturiser with ceramides in it that is richly emollient and occlusive. Petrolatum based products/ shea butter for a plant based option. Topical steroid cream. Loose cotton garments and a cool mist humidifier.
