Eczema/redness/dry flaky skin

My poor mum suffers from this skin condition and it has flared up for her today. I just wanted to ask beautyheaven members if they or anyone they know has suffered from this and what skin care products they reccomend to treat the symptoms and prevent them.

Thank you!!

Personally I think you should get your mum to switch to natural skincare, some of the harsh chemicals in the products people use are just disgusting and make your skin worse, Try A’kin or Al’chmey they have been awarded best natural skincare brand for eczema and other drying skin conditions, also tell your mum not to exfoliate untill all signs of the eczema and redness have died down. Another thing to do is to look for products containing soothing ingredients like aloe vera, chamomile, cucumber or Calendula. 🙂 hope this helps!

Thank you. My mum swears by Alchemy for her hair and I have a couple of the skin care products, they are so nice.

Hi Blackmagic I have severe eczema on my tummy and arms and love Moo Goo eczema and psoriasis cream – it works wonders! I also use Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and Cetaphil Ultra Hydrating Lotion. Dove Triple Moisturising Body Wash is great too!

Looks like I’m definitely buying the moogoo eczma cream and the cetaphil then. Who knows what my mum uses, she may be using harsh products that make it worse.

Thanks everyone. Yeah I feel bad that she has to put up with that. I will go out and buy her some stuff next payday as I know she wont spend the money on herself.

Hi I know what your mum is going through because I constantly have random flushes of red and the constant feeling of itching. My best advice is to drink lots of water and to see the doctor immediatly for some quick relief and prescripted medicine or cream

Have you tried the Cetaphil or Dermaveen Brand? Many of the products are specifically for eczema.

Otherwise, yes, totally agree with Roxy and Hooha (lol). Moogoo is supposed to be wonderful!

Hi blackmagic, I would definitely recommend giving the MooGoo eczema cream a try. My son has dermatitis and it really worked for him so hopefully it might work for you. 🙂
