Ear Candling

Does Ear Candling really work? I have used it once.
Also I heard if you burn the candle by itself without in the ear you will see bees wax when you cut it open but they clam its ear wax but how could it be ear wax when its not in the ear. So when you do it to someone and cut it open is it ear wax or bees wax?

    I have no idea how to use them, buttttt when i went to the doctors with an inner ear infection he used one of the ear candles. It relieved the pain so easily.
