you coulduse bio-oil on your face at night, i`ve done that b mixing it into a cream or moisturiser. if you have dry skin dont tone or if you have to, use one without alcohol as it dries apparently, and sont exfoliate to much, its bad!

Hi Lauren I have the same prob as you – however I also find I get oily tzone and pimples along with the flakiness! I swear I`ve tried every product in Priceline to deal with this – I have found that QV are pretty good…but problem still not solved and after talking to a beauty therapist and reading heaps of stuff I`m going to (as mentioned in another thread here) get a dermalogica facial and start using the products as well – they`re expensive but I`ve heard great things about them and I`m so sick of scrubbing my face every day to get rid of the flakiness but then being shiny and oily 2 hours later! So I`ve decided to invest and try and sort my skin out! I can let you know how I go? I see someone mentioned earlier about a dermalogica product as well…

I had a similar problem, but add to that hormonal pimples around my chin. I found the RE9 line from Arbonne the best I have tried. I tried Dr Perricone, Ren, (expensive brands) and cheaper brands – L`oreal, garnier, dove but they either didnt help the dryness, or gave me more pimples. Yes I am a rep for Arbonne, so take it with a grain of salt, but it is seriously the best I have tried. I have samples if you want, so you dont have to spend a cent trying it. You just need to go to my website http://www.sanctuary.myarbonne.com.au

You might also want to invest in some A`kin Rosehip Oil – it`s cheap – you can get it from a health food store, the one I go to sells it for about $18. This is so lush… other rosehip oils just haven`t worked for me and their fishy smell makes them unbearable to use. The A`kin Rosehip oil has a sweet nutty smell (smells like carrotseed oil), I wrote a review on Beauty Heaven for it. It absorbs really quickly too – and is great to rub into your hands, nails and cuticles before you go to bed…

I would ask for a sample of the Napoleon primer first – they do have samples, I got a couple about 2 years ago – but it didn`t help me out… It has a lot of silicone in it and for me (and a few other people I know also), silicone in makeup and skincare only compounds the dryness problem…

For me with dry flaky skin, my saviour has been Decleor Aromessence Rose Oil. If you can, find a salon that uses Decleor and ask if you can have a sample – Decleor makes little 2.5ml sample bottles of all of their oils and a sample bottle with last you ages! In the Decleor range there is also Neroli and also Iris Aromessence oils which are suitable for dry skin.

I don`t need to use this Rose oil everyday, only when my skin is being particularly dry and difficult to deal with. I keep a sample sized bottle in my handbag also because quite often if my foundation/skin gets all flaky I just put a drop on the back of my hand and then with my foundation/concealer brush blend it into my skin where its needed and I`m set to go, so I`m applying right over the top of my foundation and this sorts everything out til I get home and can remove my makeup and moisturise…

Drink 2.5 litres of water a day, eat 1-2 oranges a day.
Oh and try Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream – it`s the best!

Hi Lauren, (my daughters name is Lauren, beautiful name by the way)
Napolean Primer is around $50.00, I know its a bit pricey, but well worth it,
you don`t need much and it lasts me nearly 6 months and I use it nearly everyday,
maybe there is cheaper ones in Priceline.
