Do You Love Your Job!!!
Yesterday I picked up my 14 year old from work at Maccas, and she was beaming. Had a great day and loves working there (apart from rude customers) I have always thought that loving your job is one of the best things that you can have happen in your life. Do the beauties agree or are you like me and its a means to an end. Hope everyone had a great Aussie Day.!!!!

Fantastic news, Gofton. So thrilled for you. Pleased too Cornflakegirl that you’ve now got someone great to work for. It is so important to enjoy what you’re doing, it’s for a long time.
Have a great week and a wonderful Christmas. -

I have an amazing job, I love what I do!
I didn’t go to a University, I went to a tafe and with that I left with knowledge and skills to bring to my job. My sister went to University and she said she left with a piece of paper and nothing more.
I have gone back to do graphic design at night to improve my skills to do more at work.
I can’t see the point going to a job that I don’t enjoy, I feel like I would be wasting my time.
I don’t sit at my desk and wait for tasks to be given to me. I actively look for work and get involved and help wherever I can.
I even get to travel nationally and internationally. I update the company facebook and twitter weekly so that keeps me entertained.
I do the photography and design work so I get to be creative.
I also analyse figures and datas for big decisions.
I can work 12-14 hours a day and still not want to leave.
I work really hard and find it very rewarding. I work with great people and the possibilities are endless.
Some people at work are unmotivated and don’t care but I don’t let that get me down. I focus on getting the job done and done right. I am proud of my accomplishments but show humility.
Long story short I have an amazing job I love! -

i feel your pain…..i still work in the same pharmacy but for 4 years the previous owner was my problem. She was a bully. all the staff left because of her..she has been interviewed by authorities for bullying (she was reported) and she just denied it. nothing happened to her!….i ended up on anti depressants and saw a psychologist for a while, thats how bad she was…….well in February she sold, and now i have a nice younger male boss who is wonderful. I only stayed so long because i dont have to work with other women (very small shop) and the customers are great.
These people have no idea what they do to other people’s minds and they live in denial they have a problem.
.By the way , if you every come across another bully, and im sure you will, be extra extra extra nice to them, theyll hate it!It just breaks my heart to know that other pharmacy girls have suffered like us. What is wrong with people, can’t they just be nice and happy and be thankful they have an amazing pharmacy job or any job for that matter. I was contemplating going on anti-depressants but I thought my health was more important than trying to stick it out until I was old, I mean 16 years is longer than most people can tolerate in one job. And I was told by a friend who works with this bully that “she doesn’t know what she did”! What the….some people need help and don’t realise it.

I absolutely loved my job…………I am very sad. My home from home is gone. After 16 years in retail at the same workplace I finally quit on Tuesday and it is very depressing when it was all to do with a work bully. I could no longer take it. She has been there for 4 years, degrading me in front of customers, stealing my sales, having team members fight against each other. I was the only one every time there was a situation to come forward and guess what – after 4 years my boss does nothing about her. She’s still there and has no back bone, she should have been the one to leave. I’ve never met a person so vindictive, manipulative and bitchy in my life. I’ve learnt not to take other workers complaints on board – they never back you up against a bully !Let people do their own dirty work. Am I supposed to feel so sick about this? I don’t think I will ever get over this. I have never had to apply for a job ever, I began work there from work experience in school, I started there when I was 16 and you won’t believe this but 16 is my lucky number. Beauties, I need you at my most miserable time ever 🙁
Were you aware there are laws and legislations against work place bullying? It’s being in the media spotlight for a while now. There are tons of resources on this issue available to the public. WorkSafe for example. I’d urge you to still take action and report the problem, so the exposure may be limited for someone else.
Guess what! I have a new job, in the same industry so I’m still doing what I love. Take that you mean bully biatch! Thanks beauties.

GOfton- I was very sorry to read your post. That sounds awful! I am proud of you for sticking it out for as long as you did! People like that do not deserve to work with other people! I really feel for you, and have been through a similar thing, only my boss was very supportive. I can olny imagine how hard it would have been without that support. I think you have made the right choice as no one deserves to be treated that way! especially at work! Customers can be bad enough! If you can…try to remember that people like that are very insecure! They usually are very unhappy with themselves and deep down are jealous of you! This is not a personal issue, even if it may seem like one…Im sure you are not the first person that this person has treated in this way! I hope you feel better soon! :):) And a much better working environment will make you feel so much better about your decision!

I really feel so sad for you, Gofton. It would be bad enough if you hadn’t loved your job to need to walk away because of bullying but when you did love your work… Someone as dedicated as you obviously are deserves a wonderful job and you’re in my thoughts.
So pleased for everyone here who does love what they do and caring and hopeful thoughts are going out to all who are looking for a great job. Keep your spirits up and don’t settle for less than you deserve. All the best. -
