Do you drink enough water??

Lately i have been getting the worst headaches!! anyway i had a good think about it…..and i worked out that each and everyday i drink coke zero and coffee with no other fluids!! i couldn’t remember the last time i had a drink of water!!
Anyway, since i have started to drink more water this week my headaches have gone!! It was obviously dehydration headche!
Do you drink enough water? What do you girls think of those drinks like “mizone” and “H2GO” flavoured water?
i quite like those but some of them do have about 250kj in them.
I habe also tried adding diet cordial to water and it amkes it so much better!

i am still in favour of sugar free cordials rather than cordial packed with sugar. I would rather not get fat!!
when i used to drink normal drinks such as coke (full sugar) etc i put on so much weight!!
For me drinking sugar free drinks in my opinion is far better for my health.
Being overweight made me so unhealthy!!

I probably dont drink as much water as i should, i tend to drink my water bottle at school and have a glass when i get home and a glass with dinner and i have a glass of water next to my bed. I tend to drink way more in summer to make sure i keep my body hydrated!!!

Yeh like Catherine said – I only drink a powerade the day I have cramps forming in my legs – I know they`re full of a lot of crap but def works to ease the cramps – generally only takes one or two and then I`m fine for another couple of weeks.
    .
As for artificial sweeteners – I don`t think much of them and think they should only be used by diabetics as they have to. I don`t like that it`s all chemical – I`d rather have proper sugar (and try not to have too much either! hehe). One of my friends always uses sweetener isntead of sugar, for no health reasons other than consuming less calories. I said it`s going to kill her, all that chemicals, she just says she may not live long but she`ll live thin! lol (not serious – no one freak out!). Each to their own but that`s my view on it! I also find diet drinks too sweet – they taste much sweeter to me than normal drinks. I`m a regular coke girl all the way!

I`m definintely with Elmo on the Powerade…. if i start to get a leg cramp i will drink Powerade only for that day and it really does work. But on a regular basis… I bought a big glass bottle and refill that for the fridge and it seems to get much colder in glass. I also keep bottles of water in the fridge to take to work and drink minimum 2 litres over the day. The kids get nothing but water in their school bags either. It`s a good habit to get the kids started on.

I found out the hard way that I`m seriously allergic to aspartame (sweetener 951) and to a lesser extent neotame (sweetener 961). The symptoms were frightening, particularly since I lived with them for years thinking that was just how I was. Chronic depression, heart palpitations and a whole bunch of other stuff. Once I cut them out of my diet, my health picked up considerably and I have a lot fewer serious bouts of depression. On the few occasions that I`ve accidentally had a drink with one of them in it, I`ve been sick for days until it all gets out of my system.

Actutally zoz I did see a storyline on All Saints to that effect years ago. I know All Saints is a TV drama they do base their stories on medical fact. Thanks for the reminder.

I also saw the story on Diet drink and artifical sweetners. The danger is that you drink a diet drink to get a sweet/sugar fix, but the body doesn`t respond to the artifical sweetner so you then go off looking for more sugar! (Who knows?)

Cordial has got a lot of sugar and so does diet drinks. Diet Drinks they have artificial sugar and it is actually harmful for your body according to ` A Current Affair`

One thing that a lot of people dont talk about is the damage that drinking too much water can do to your body. I worked in a psychiatric hospital for years and due to the medication most of the patients were constantly thirsty. Their water consumption had to be monitored as over consumption of water can lead to severe cell damage and even worse. So although drinking 2 to 3 litres of fluids (that is water and any other fluid consumed including tea, coffee, energy drinks, soft drink, juice, milk, beer, wine, spirits, cordial etc) is good, drinking much more than that can be damaging to your health.
