I just recently got vogue glasses because that brand tends to have the frames i want and suits me reallly goood. I would recommend trying on the type of glasses u like until u found that perfect one, regardless of the brand. Then if u still want the designer frames then have a look at in the designer section and look for similar ones to `the perfect one`. Only because non-branded ones have a larger range!!! Goodluck, it does take a lot of time

i duno, if they are really good quality with uv protection and all that then i spose the extra dollars are worth it. but im fine with a cheaper brand as long as it is good quiality. i got a new pair of glasses recently and they were $535 , and it wasnt even a designer brand! sheesh

It depends on you if they`re worth the extra bucks. If you don`t mind spending the money, they`re great. You can find the style that suits you, but if there`s a cheaper brand with a similar style, it might not be better. I`m a really picky person, so when I bought my glasses, I tried on pretty much all the frames in the optometrist.
With designer brands, you are more likely to find the frames that suit you best (because of the larger variety), so you look better, feel more confident wearing them and you won`t be too shy to wear them. The extra dollars paid might also be an incentive to wear them when you`re suppose to as well. -

cheap and nasty frames still have a nasty (not cheap) price attached to them. I bought my Morrissey frames from oo.com.au for around $130 BARGAIN! I took a risk not trying them on first but I could return them if I didn`t like them. I got them glazed at another place I found online for $50 but they scratched my case and gave me $25 back. So for around $150 I have an awesome pair of designer glasses.

if they are pretty costly it can be worth having them added to your house insurance.

I also had a beautiful pair many years ago that cost me a small fortune and I left them on a train. I was so disappointed and I had trouble finding a pair that were just as good. At certain times of the year the optometrists have some good specials on frames and lenses so you can pick up a great designer pair at great prices.

I was prescribed glasses a few years back, so went to OPSM and spend AGES trying every pair of frames on. I didn`t like any of them, except one pair of Emporio Armani frames. They weren`t that much more than regular frames, so I thought why not, since they actually didn`t make me look too freaky. But it turned out that I didn`t need glasses at all (I don`t really trust optometrists now), so I have hung onto them in case I need some in the future.
I think you should get what looks good on you, whether that`s the cheapest frames, or the most expensive you can afford.
