I recently got a curling wand – it was called Curls Curls Curls I think by Remington, anyway was on special at Priceline for about $35 (have also seen it at Big W or Kmart). I really like it – it has 3 attachments for 3 different sized curls – the medium one is the one I mainly use, but there is one for really big loose curls and a smaller one for tight ringlet curls. Its heaps easy to use. I just section my hair, do the back first, then sides/front, and kind of just jsush it out a bit and put a bit of hairspray on to keep the curls in.

    Hi Girls

well i went out and bought a straightener today, only a cheap one-vidal sassoon. Anyway i bought it thinking i could also use it to curl my hair. The problem i have is that i am so uncoordinated and are unable to get good curls, i tried for hours, trust me-it was terrible.
Anyway i think i might actually return the straightener and buy a curling wand instead. The technique of the curling wand seems so much easier and i am sure i will master it.
Can anyone give me some recs for a curling wand? I don`t really want to spend much to be honest. Also what sort of products should i use to help the curls stay in place etc?

I asked my hairdresser for a demonstration on how to curl hair with a straightener…with a bit of practice and patience you can do it…just place the end of your hair in the straightener and and roll hair around the straightener…winding the straightener up…then pull down in motion…and the hair comes out curly…it`s hard to explain, you need to be shown exactly how it`s done to get the jist…I hope this makes sense…as it is better said then done…hehehe..
