CURLING HAIR WITH A GHD STRAIGHTENER

i was just wondering if anyone has agood explanation for how to curl your hair with a GHD straightener.
i have no probs straightening it and i can curl the front two peices of hair but after that i seem to be doing something wrong and i’m not sure what it is. any suggestions would be great as i really want to curl my hair to change it up a little.

I just had my hair cut on the weekend and my hairdresser always uses a GHD to curl the lengths of my hair at the end – always looks awesome! This time he was using the new GHD iron which is extra slim – it`s designed particularly for curling, and also straightening shorter hair – but worked fantastically!

It is all about the wrist movement. straightening hair first makes it easier. Make sure you only do small amounts of hair at a time and spin the straightener around till the hair falls out thenscrunch the curl to bring out the shape. Using both hands initially may be helpful

I curl my hair everyday with my ghd.its hard to explain how to do it. You clamp it on your hair, and then turn it backwards. on like a 180` angle, do it tightly and you`ll get it.

What particular brands have you already tried?
My personal favourite would be a V05 hairspray with extra hold

Can anyone recommend a good hair spray to hold the curl in my hair. I have very straight, long hair that falls about 10cm from my butt, and whenever i curl my hair it is generally straight again within 2 hours, it is so frustrating! I`ve tried quite a few hairspray but they make it so stiff and crunchy and it really looks like it has been hair sprayed!

I like how when I walk past the Corioliss (a brand of straightener) stand at Southlands the girls there are constantly straightening or curling their hair, or each others (and they are constantly preening and generally loving themselves in the mirrors)… but over time their hair becomes this dried out and ugly looking mess… as a result I try to make sure that I don`t over-straighten or curl my hair with the ghd – espec ially with the curling part – in fact, I let it heat up then I switch it off then do the curl… so far, so good… 😉
