Creating Waves

I have naturally curly / boofy hair that doesnt seem to be able to be tamed with any kind of product. I love the loose wave look for Summer and was wondering whats the easiest way of achieving this look. Thanks XO

Sorry forgot to mention that sleeping on it damp will also give a light wave to it – it works for my hair – and then if there`s any crazy bits poking out sideways or something – I grab my hair straightener to calm the end bits – but not actually straightening all the hair, if you get me?

Pipsqueak I have a similar prob to you – it took years for me to learn how to tame my hair coz it`s very thick, there`s a lot of it, and it is naturally wavy too – but in an annoying way – not in a perfect waves every day way! You need to start with shampoo/conditioner – make sure you`re using the right ones for your hair – I`m guessing since you say it goes boofy that you have dry hair which is same as me. I use L`Oreal Absolut Repair shampoo/conditioner – which is fantastic for smoothing and softening it – then I use L`Oreal hair serum. When styling I mostly use hair wax to smooth and control it. I never blow dry my hair as it just increases the boof – I just always wash my hair at night, let it dry for a couple of hours before I go to bed then it`ll be dry when you wake up. I then find my hair manageable for the next 3-4 days. The first day after washing it`s a bit fluffy still – but after that it calms. Anyway, hope my advice helps!

I WOULD LEAVE IT TO DRY NATURALLY AND SEE WHETHER THAT WORKS.

Another good thing is to use a good serum (Paul Mitchel Super Skinny Serum from Priceattack) before twisting it like the Beauty Editor said. Then you have smooth waves already and can use the sea salt spray (PPS Sea Salt Mist) for a light natural hold in the morning. This is what i do.

there are “”sea spray”” products available at priceline etc that you spray on and scrunch and are meant to do the trick
