Ive just noticed my 4 month old daughter has some cradle cap on her head. Can anyone help me with some ideas to get rid of it???

I treated it with Tea Tree oil in those early months, which helped.
But when she still had it at 18 months (it came, went, came, went, came and stuck!) I used some baby oil and a really really soft toothbrush, and I gentle massaged her head with the toothbrush for a couple of minutes. Then I massaged in some gentle conditioner and let it sit for a couple of minutes. It took about 3-4 goes but it was gone and never came back!
But I wouldn`t be doing that until she is least One.
Good Luck!

Two choices, or combination of choices. Depending on whether it is thick and hard, or just thin and light so far. If it`s thin just get a baby brush and brush it out vigorously after a bath. If it`s thick you may need to slather it in baby oil or sorbolene for an hour or so then pick it off bit by bit (should come off easily- if not soak again or try the next day).
Its a fungus, and will continue to grow unless you get rid of it all.

I didn`t worry about it one bit and found it fell away naturally over several months to a year. My bubs all had a fair amount of hair thought so you didn`t notice they had it too much unless you really inspected!

Im a hairdresser and a rep from one of the product companies I deal with told me that when you use shampoo`s and bath stuff with the `no more tears formula`, it means the ph levels for this product are designed to be gentle on babys eyes but it is not the correct ph for babys scalp therefore resulting in cradle cap. When my eldest son was 2 i used head and shoulders on him and the cradle cap disappeared within 2-3 washes. Olive oil does soften it so that it is easy to remove but its a short term solution. As soon as you use the no more tears formula again, the cradle cap starts to build up again. Hope this is of some help to you.
