Beauty Therapy courses at Tafe and other providers are still full fee paying courses, they aren`t government funded, some Tafe courses cost up to $15000 (diploma of BT at Chisolm is about that) I searched all my options. Elly Lukas and the like all charge around the $10000 mark.

thanks for that information Glitter Girl. I`ve been wanting to do a course myself for sometime but haven`t really looked into and now that I`m home with a baby I`d like to perhaps to a course by correspondence some day.

Any accredited course will cost about $10,000, and I wouldn`t do any thing that wasn`t accredited (you will not get employed) I`m doing a correspondence course with Ella Bache ($10,000) You pay module to module, so it can fit around your budget. There are a few others, just google beauty courses. Thompson direct do one for $1200, but its not accredited – so I wouldn`t waste your money. Another cheaper option is to decide what you are really interested in within the beauty spectrum and just specialise in that area, ie- nails, make-up, etc there are heaps of short courses in those fields that are affordable.
