Cornea damage- advice please

I have a good friend that has some damage to one of their corneas. Though thier eyesight has always been bad in that eye due 2 the damge I have noticed that their eyesight seems to be deteriorating (eg. can’t see me when i’m only about 1m away in a room of people) They are by no means blind but it seems that they can’t distinguish objects/people properly. Whenever I try 2 bring the topic up they don’t want 2 talk about it (mucho male pride) and so i’m not sure how 2 help as I know they need 2 do something. I’ve suggested a visit 2 the optometrist as a starting point & offered 2 come along 4 support.
I personally don’t know much about this condition so if any of u BH ladies suffer from or know someone who suffers from this similar condition, some advice and pointers would be graciously appreciated!

Thanks 4 your suggestions StyleQueen. I have finally managed 2 convince him 2 go 2 the optometrist. I have an appointment coming up & he`s decided to come along & booked himself in for a consult. I subtly dropped a few hints about my eyesight which in turn made him think about his- a little reverse psychology seemed 2 do the trick with this 1. Hopefully this might be a starting point to help him move forward in the right direction & fix the problem. Once again cheers 4 your advice, the cornea transplant you mentioned really did start me thinking about the possibilities that are out there 2 help restore sight 🙂

hey goddessmagick, sorry i have never noticed this post before! i dont know anyone who suffers from a cornea condition, though a relative did have a cornea transplant years back. i think yu should def get your friend to go to the optometrist, tell him things will get a lot worse if he doesnt! they will probably do some tests, nothing will be painful and it will benefit him a lot! perhaps tell him to mention it to his gp the next time he goes, his doctor might be able to convince him to go to an optometrist? i hope you find some info on google x
