Concealing freckles

What’s the best way to conceal freckles on your face?

Do you need to use a colour corrector first before foundation and concealer and if yes, what coloured corrector do you use?

Thanks for your help.

    Hi Diishere,
If you are after a colour corrector/concealer, the colour you are after to conceal freckles is purple. Another tip is use a full coverage foundation that is one shade darker than your natural skin colour, and use a pressed powder one shade lighter than your skin colour over the top. The darker foundation evens out skin tone with the freckles, while the lighter pressed powder brings the colour closer to your skin colour.

Thank you for this very helpful and informative information. I will give it a go. You sound like a pro, like you really know what you are doing.

    Thank you very much.

I have lots of freckles too and I find a good mineral powder foundation takes care of most of them. Kryolan TV paint stick and the Natio stick foundation are quite good too. 🙂

I’ve tried a number of options, but find using some fake tan on my face is the best way of blending them in and making them less noticable. I mix the fake tan with moisturiser so that it is not too dark. I find that once I use foundation on top of my “tanned” face, the freckles aren’t really noticable.

If you only have a few freckles, I wouldn’t bother so much, but I have a face full of them.
