combination skin

Hi!
I’m not sure if i am using the wrong foundation or if it is just my skin being weird, without foundation on i have normal skin but when i wear foundation by lunch time (12.30) my skin is shiny on my nose and the part just next to the nose before the cheek bone and also on my chin, my forhead is fine and so is the sides of my face. I am use clinque’s anti-blemish skincare routine. i don’t know if there is already a thread similar to this but i really would love some advice on what it may be.

That does sound about right darl, try eliminating one product at a time starting with your cleanser until you find out which one iis the culprit.

Could this change in my skin be that i am using a product that is to harsh (because after cleansing my skin is dry which is making it over compensate for the natural oil lose).

Good luck darl, some good cheap primers are Australis and Face of Australia, both around $10 and have good reviews here on BH 🙂

Are you using an oil free foundation? That could be your problem there? If your foundation has oil, or is quite moisturising – if you think about it, it`s like applying two moisturisers on your face – which is why lots of people do like using oil free foundations…

Hi Princess what kind of foundation are you using? Maybe mineral foundation or powder would be more suitable for your skin type.

OH yes definately when I use foundation I always use a primer now and definately a finishing powder, it helps so much, I am using mineral powder foundations and finishing powders (EDM) and they are definately the best minerals I have used, my skin is far less oily since cutting out my regular liquid foundations 🙂

Do you use primer? That will definately help and the Dermalogica mattifier is great as per Melmeko`s rec. Also, are you setting your foundation with a powder? The combination of these items should help. ..

Princesssarah have you tried Blot-off oil tissue? It comes in handy if you are out and you have an oil break out!http://www.swisspers.com.au/index.php?s=facialcare-list
